2:23 a.m. A brown SUV was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

11:35 a.m. Officers met with a complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to a financial card transaction fraud. The incident remains under further investigation.

1:28 p.m. Officers responded to the Nature Trail in reference to a juvenile destroying a portion of a fence. The juvenile was located and a petition has been filed with DJJ.

3:03 p.m. Officers responded to East Main Street near the I-95 interchange for a collision involving a motor vehicle and a bicycle. The motor vehicle fled the scene. The incident remains under further investigation.

7:30 p.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95 for debris striking a vehicle after it flew off a truck. No injuries were reported.

3:31 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on North Green Street for a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located a short time later and Matthew Dara was found to be in possession of it. Dara was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Sheriff's Office.

Nickos Flint was located in the parking lot and he had a confirmed warrant out of Georgia with full extradition. Flint was arrested and transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center.

7:14 a.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland Weekly Rentals, 67 West Woodlawn Street, for a welfare check on a resident.

9:09 a.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a domestic dispute. Before officers arrived, the apartment was set on fire by the male suspect. When officers arrived they were able to safely remove a 5 year old child and pets from the apartment. The Ridgeland Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire. As a result of the incident, Sidney Creighton Ford, Jr. has warrants for his arrest charging him with Arson, 2nd Degree, Burglary, 2nd Degree, Domestic Violence, 2nd Degree and Attempted Murder.

11:57 a.m. Officers responded to the Shell Station, 8309 East Main Street, for a break-in of an outside vending machine. The incident remains under further investigation.

2:09 p.m. Officers responded to the Regions Bank, 11004 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, and met with a complainant in reference to suspicious activity on a debit card. The incident remains under further investigation.

3:14 p.m. Officers responded to Fiddler's Seafood, 7738 West Main Street, for a report of a female subject yelling at customers.

5:31 p.m. Officers responded to Shade Tree Street in reference to a hit and run collision that occurred on North Jacob Smart Boulevard. One of the parties involved, Cornell Youmans, had an outstanding warrant with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office. Youmans was arrested by the JCSO and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.
