March 27

7:14 A.M. Officers responded to the Enmarket located at 8250 E Main St in reference to a shoplifting. Officers were informed a male subject entered the store and placed two candy bars in his pocket. The subject then selected a beverage, paid for the beverage, then exited the store without rendering payment for the items he placed in his pocket. A review of the video surveillance system resulted in officers identifying Christopher Hilderbran as the subject. An arrest warrant was secured on Hilderbran for the charge of shoplifting.

5:22 P.M. Officers responded to an activated commercial alarm at a business on Grays Hwy.

March 23

12:03 A.M. Officers responded to Ridgeland Coin Laundry in reference to a suspicious male on the property talking to himself and innappropriately to other patrons.

3:43 A.M. Officers assisted investigators with Ridgeland Correctional Institutional who were attempting to locate an individual who was observed trespassing on prison property. RCI investigators ultimately located the individual and continued with their investigation.

7:40 A.M. Officers responded to a residence on Oak Plantation Dr in regards to a larceny from an unsecured vehicle. At this time there are pending charges on a juvenile subject that will be handled throught the Department of Juvenile Justice.

8:11 A.M. Officers responded to a larceny on Newlin Dr in regards to items missing from an unsecured vehicle. At this time there are pending charges on a juvenile subject that will be handled throught the Department of Juvenile Justice.

4:27 A.M. Officers responded to the area of East Frontage Rd in reference to a car stopped on the should of the road. The vehicle had departed shortly after pulling over.

8:48 A.M. Officers responded to West Adams St in reference to a motor vehicle collision.

11:44 A.M. Officers responded to 221 James L Taylor Dr, Quality Inn, in reference to property damage.

3:43 P.M. Officers responded to US17 @ Smiths Crossing in reference to a disabled log truck partially obstructing traffic.

2:45 P.M. Officers responded to 511 James L Taylor Dr, Quality Inn, in reference to a domestic argument.

4:43 P.M. Officers received a complaint of a reckless driver traveling north on Interstate 95

8:39 P.M. Officers responded to the 22 mile mark of Interstate 95 in reference to a motor vehicle collision.

22:00 While patrolling the area near Main St and Church St Officers observed a male in the roadway stopping cars and asking for a ride. Officers made contact with the subject, Anthony Gibson, and advised him that he has previously been warned in regards to similar actions. Gibson was advised that he was under arrest. Gibson was arrested, transported, and booked into the Jasper County Detention Center.

11:51 P.M. Officers received a complaint of loud noise coming from 107 1st Ave, Baytree, in reference to music. Officers arrived on scene and the music was turned down.

March 10

5:26 A.M. Officers responded to 10504 S Jacob Smart Blvd, Forest Motel, in reference to assisting the Jasper County Fire Rescue with a medical related 911 call.

5:37 A.M. Officers responded to 8250 E Main St, Enmarket, in reference to a suspicious person

9:17 A.M. Officers responded to 8250 E Main St, Enmarket, in reference to a verbal argument.

12:35 P.M. Officers responded to Woodduck St in reference to an animal complaint.

1:25 P.M. Officers responded to Interstate 95 near the 18 south bound in reference to a motor vehicle collision.

2:41 P.M. Officers responded to 2nd Avenue in reference to a welfare check. Officers were informed that two 911 calls were placed from a residence on 2nd Ave. After speaking to the homeowner it was determined that both calls were accidental.

6:23 P.M. Officers responded to the 22 southbound of Interstate 95 in reference to a vehicle that ran out of gas.

5:43 P.M. Officers received a report of a reckless driver on Interstate 95 near the 18 mile marker south bound

8:00 P.M. Officers responded to 73 Green St, Family Dollar, in reference to a verbal argument.

11:21 P.M. Officers responded to the 17 mile marker south bound of Interstate 95 in reference to clearing debris from the roadway.

11:25 P.M. Officers took a report on Wilson St in reference to a property damage.

March 8

1:10 A.M. Officers responded to 265 Russell St, Courthouse, in reference to an activated alarm.

7:27 A.M. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker of Interstate 95 in reference to assisting a disabled motorist.

1:30 P.M. Officers took a report in reference to a vehicle being damaged by debris while traveling on Interstate 95 near the 21 mile marker north bound.

4:21 P.M. Officers responded to a residence on McTeer Ave in reference to a subject on scene who is trespassed from the location. Upon arrival officers made contact with Jesse Cleland who was advised by a Municipal Court Judge that he could not be at the location. After confirming this information Jesse Cleland was arrested, transported, and booked into the Jasper County Detention Center for Trespassing.

6:50 P.M. Officers responded to a residence on Dolphin Dr in reference to gunshots being fired. Upon arrival officers were informed that an occupant from inside a gray Dodge Charger began shooting in the air. No property nor persons were struck however Investigators did locate several spent shell casings. Investigators are currently following several active leads and the case is still under investigation.

9:02 P.M. Officers responded to a business on Adams St in reference to an activated alarm.

March 7

11:10 A.M. Officers responded to the 22 north bound of Interstate 95 in reference to a dog running at large

2:49 P.M. Officers responded to 8216 E Main St, Days Inn, in reference to a white female yelling in the parking lot.

5:41 P.M. Officers responded to 12008 North Jacob Smart Blvd, Jasper Sheriff's Office, in reference to a assisting a disabled motorist.

8:05 P.M. Officers responded to the area of Grays Hwy in reference to a reckless driver

10:47 P.M. Officers responded to the area of Main St in reference to a reckless driver.

March 6

6:14 A.M. Officers responded to 8216 E Main St, Days Inn, in reference to a 911 hangup call. Officers arrived on scene and it was determined that the call was accidental.

12:03 P.M. Officers received a report of a reckless driver traveling south on Interstate 95

2:49 P.M. Officers responded to 72 Heron Crossing in reference to a missing firearm. A report was made and the firearm was entered as stolen.

3:24 P.M. Officers responded to 401 Sycamore Dr in reference to a dog running at large.

6:02 P.M. Officers responded to Brandon Cove in reference to a vehicle that had been parked for any extended period of time.

7:08 P.M. Officers responded to 80 Blue Heron Dr, BP, in reference to a verbal altercation. All parties dispursed prior to law enforcement's arrival.

9:23 P.M. Officers responded to a residence on 3rd Ave after a male gunshot victim arrived at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Investigators were advised that the victim was in a vehicle at the location and was shot in the side by a resident at the location. Investigators conducted interviews and processed the scene. Investigators then secured a search warrant for the residence at which time the warrant was executed. After conducting their search Jorge Oliva, 23 of Ridgeland, was arrested, transported, and booked into the Jasper County Detention Center for the following charges: (1) Attempted Murder X2 counts and (2) Possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. The incident is still actively being investigated and further charges could be filed.

March 5

2:34 A.M. Officers spoke to a female victim in reference to a domestic argument that transpired on Volunteer Park Dr. Officers were informed that the male subject, Christian Reynaga, alledgedly assaulted the female victim. According to the victim, Reynaga did grab the victim by her throat and pushed her against a wall. Reynaga then alledgedly grabbed the victim's phone and broke it in an attempt to keep the phone from being used. Officers observed physical manifestation of injuries on the victim however none on Reynaga. Officers then advised Reynaga that he was being placed under arrest. Reynaga was transported and booked into the Jasper County Detention Center for Domestic Violence.

12:20 P.M. Officers responded to a motor vehicle collision at Bees Creek Rd and Sweet William Dr.

1:04 P.M. Officers responded to 511 James L Taylor Dr, Quality Inn, in reference to a vicil matter.

4:39 P.M. Officers responded to 10847 North Jacob Smart Blvd, Piggly Wiggly, in reference to a harassment complaint.

7:38 P.M. Officers responded to a business on S Jacob Smart Blvd in reference to an activated commercial alarm.

March 4

3:04 A.M. Officers received a report of a reckless driver traveling north on Interstate 95

1:46 P.M. Officers responded to 11059 North Jacob Smart Blvd, Carquest, in reference to a fraud report.

5:19 P.M. Officers responded to North Jacob Smart Blvd in reference to a disabled 18 wheeler.

9:22 P.M. Officers responded to 10504 S Jacob Smart Blvd, Forest Motel, in reference to a civil complaint.

March 3

12:02 A.M. Officers responded to a residence on Green St in reference to a verbal dispute amongst household members

3:50 A.M. Officers responded to a residence on OakRidge Dr in reference to a domestic argument.

7:01 A.M. Officers responded to 511 James L Taylor Dr, Quality Inn, in reference to guests refusing to pay for their rooms. The guests departed the location without incident.

9:54 A.M. Officers received a report of a reckless driver on Interstate 95 traveling south bound near the 22 mile marker

11:24 A.M. Officers received a report of (2) dogs running at large on Sister's Ferry Rd. Officers checked the area however were unable to locate any dogs.

2:23 P.M. Officers responded to 8123 E Main St, Dollar General, in reference to a shoplifting. Upon arrival contact was made with employees who stated a white male was in the store concealing miscellaneous items and then exiting the store and placing items into his vehicle in the parking lot. Employees advised that the subject did not render payment for the items. Officers made contact with the subject, identified as Richard Dixon, who was back in the store. After confirming the incident via video surveillance the subject was arrested, transported, and booked into the Jasper County Detention Center for the charge of shoplifting.

4:59 P.M. Officers received a report of a vehicle driving fast near Shadetree St.

10:31 P.M. Officers responded to a residence on Oakridge Dr in reference to a verbal dispute.

March 2

1:00 A.M. Officers responded to a business on Main St in reference to an activated residential alarm

10:40 A.M. Officers responded to 8205 E Main St, B & T's, in reference to a shoplifting. The subject had departed the business upon management contacting law enforcement.

March 1

1:40 A.M. Officers observed a suspicious white male on Main St near Walgreens. Officers made contact with the subject and everything was found to be okay.

10:25 P.M. Officers responded to a residence on OakRidge Dr in reference to a juvenile refusing to stay home. Officers located the juvenile and returned him to his parents.
