A warrant affidavit has been submitted charging Albert Heyward with throwing bodily fluids on a correctional facility employee.

2:50 p.m. Officers responded to the rest area on the north bound side of I-95 for a welfare check.

10:04 a.m. Officers responded to Grahamville Road for a report of a dog running at large. The dog was located and returned to its owner.

12:35 p.m. A white semi was reported as driving recklessly at the 15 mile marker north bound on I-95.

1:20 p.m. Officers met with a complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to a civil dispute.

A white Ford Taurus was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

5:58 p.m. Officers responded to an apartment at Heron Crossing Apartments, 72 Heron Crossing Road, in reference to a domestic dispute. A warrant affidavit has been submitted charging Alvin Fields with domestic violence, 3rd degree.

10:33 p.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments to assist the Ridgeland Fire Department.

May 26

8:21 a.m. Officers responded to South Jacob Smart Boulevard for a vehicle collision involving a semi and a tree limb. No injuries were reported.

9:16 a.m. Officers responded to Ellen Langford Park for a report of found property.

12:14 p.m. Officers responded to Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, for a report of an abandoned vehicle.

12:50 p.m. Officers responded to Shade Tree Street to conduct a welfare check on a dog at a residence.

1:49 p.m. Officers responded to the Jasper County Detention Center, 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of two people arguing in the parking lot.

3:18 p.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

5:00 p.m. Officers responded to Family Dollar, 73 South Green Street, for a report of a suspicious male subject in the parking lot.

9:30 p.m. Officers observed a Honda Civic traveling at the 18 mile marker south bound on I-95 without lights and conducted a traffic stop for the violation. A K9 was deployed on the vehicle and the K9 alerted to the presence of illegal substances in the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and narcotics were located in the vehicle. Cassidy Edmondson, of Hardeeville, SC, was arrested for no driver's license and possession of schedule 1 substances. Edmondson was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center and her vehicle was towed by a wrecker service from rotation.

May 25

12:09 p.m. Officers responded to Dolphin Drive in reference to two dogs running at large.

3:52 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Sailfish Circle in reference to threats being conveyed on Face Book.

4:30 p.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, in reference to an assault and battery. Officers spoke with several people at the location but could not find a witness to the incident. Two people, Damien Busby and Andrew Flowers, were arrested. Busby was arrested for trespass after notice and disorderly conduct. Flowers was arrested for disorderly conduct. Both individuals were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Officers were able to view video footage at a later time and video shows an assault and battery taking place. A warrant affidavit has been filed charging Damien Busby with assault and battery.

5:48 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

7:10 p.m. Officers responded to McDonald's, 8548 Grahamville Road, for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

3:16 a.m. Officers responded to the Day's Inn, 8216 East Main Street, for a domestic dispute.

12:51 p.m. Officers responded to the north bound rest area on I-95 for a report of a stolen semi. The vehicle was located and returned to the lawful owner.

9:59 p.m. Officers assisted the Jasper County Sheriff's Office with a fight in progress on Rice Shire Road.

3:50 a.m. Officers responded to West Adams Street in reference to loud music.

4:42 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street in reference to noises being heard around the residence.

8:52 a.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

2:36 p.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of an assault and battery. After a short investigation officers were able to determine that the incident did not occur.

Officers assisted EMS with a patient transport on Shade Tree Street.

5:26 p.m. Officers responded to Ken's Tires, 10464 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

8:38 p.m. Officers observed a black Ford F-150 traveling at 90 miles per hour at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and learned that the driver, Hbel Acosta, did not have a valid driver's license. Acosta was arrested for speeding, no driver's license and open container. Acosta was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Acosta's vehicle was towed by a wrecker from rotation.

10:38 a.m. A white Volvo sedan was reported as driving recklessly at the 27 mile marker south bound on I-95.

3:05 p.m. Officers responded to the Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a shoplifting incident. The incident remains under further investigation.

9:28 p.m. Officers observed a silver Isuzu Rodeo speeding on I-95 at the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and when the vehicle came to a stop, the driver of the vehicle, Earl Fields, Jr., ran from the scene. Warrant affidavits have been submitted charging Fields with speeding, driving under suspension and open container.

12:27 p.m. A red Ford F150 was reported as driving recklessly on South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

12:58 p.m. Officers responded to Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, for a report of a male subject panhandling in the business.

2:38 p.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 80 Blue Heron Drive, for a report of a U-Haul truck striking a portion of the business and leaving without reporting the collision. The incident remains under further investigation.

9:34 p.m. Officers met with a complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to him being assaulted while he was staying at Christ Central Mission. The complainant refused to press charges and he was eventually transported to a local hospital by EMS.

3:47 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a hit and run collision. No injuries were reported.

4:43 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of the Sunoco Station, 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a hit and run collision. The victim was able to get a tag number and a description of the driver that left the scene. A warrant affidavit has been filed charging Walter Toomer with leaving the scene of an accident.

7:00 p.m. A red sedan was reported as driving recklessly at the 14 mile marker north bound on I-95.

9:21 p.m. Officers responded to Sheffield Oil, 11033 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

May 4

12:28 a.m. Officers stopped a white Chevrolet truck at the 21 south bound on I-95 for numerous violations. The driver of the vehicle, Patricia Malone, had an outstanding warrant in Hampton County and a suspended driver's license. Malone consented to a search of the vehicle and officers located a quantity of Meth and MDMA. Three passengers of the vehicle, Bryan Crews, Hunter Plummer and Amber Cook, along with Malone, were arrested for the narcotics violations. All four subjects were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

8:37 a.m. A red Toyota Prius was reported as driving recklessly on Lowcountry Drive.

9:53 a.m. Officers met with a complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to a civil dispute.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on East Frontage Road for a light violation. Officers had probable cause to conduct a search of the vehicle and during the search, located a quantity of cocaine base. Edmund Davis was arrested for possession of cocaine base and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

5:34 a.m. Officers responded to the Palms Motel, 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, to assist EMS with a patient transport.

6:00 a.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

11:58 a.m. Officers responded to Grahamville Road to assist the Jasper County Sheriff's Office with a man in the roadway.

3:32 p.m. Officers responded to JARM, 1352 Carter's Mill Road, for a dispute over the return of a dog.

6:29 p.m. A gold Oldsmobile was reported as driving recklessly on South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

Officers responded to Regions Bank, 11004 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of found property.

8:58 p.m. Officers responded to Captain Bill Road for a report of a male subject laying near the roadway. When officers arrived they discovered William Gillyard, Jr. laying on the ground an to be in a grossly intoxicated state. Gillyard was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

10:13 p.m. A silver semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95.
