7:16 a.m. Officers conducted a welfare check on a male subject on 3rd Avenue.

8:43 a.m. Officers met with a complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to a vehicle break-in the previous day. The subject reported that his vehicle was broken into while it was parked on West Main Street. The incident remains under further investigation.

8:58 a.m. Officers responded to Burger King, 8257 East Main Street, for a suspicious vehicle.

12:38 p.m. A grey SUV was reported as driving recklessly on Henry Lawton Road.

2:10 p.m. Officers responded to West Adams Street for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

4:35 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Eat Adams Street for a report of two cats running at large.

6:10 p.m. Officers responded to Three Tee Circle in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

7:39 p.m. Officers responded to East Wilson Street for a report of a suspicious female subject.

9:44 p.m. Officers responded to the Forest Motel, 10504 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of two people arguing in the parking lot.

July 30

3:30 a.m. A red sports car was reported as driving recklessly at the 13 mile marker north bound on I-95.

7:07 a.m. A Budget rental truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 26 mile marker south bound on I-95.

9:53 a.m. Officers responded to James L. Taylor Drive for a motorist assist.

10:43 a.m. Officers located Jarrett Scott Sandifer who had two outstanding warrants on Hagin Drive. Sandifer was wanted for Domestic Violence, 2nd Degree and Assault and Battery, 3rd Degree. Sandifer was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:51 p.m. Officers responded to Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, for a report of found property.

7:22 p.m. Officers responded to Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of people loitering in the parking lot. Officers placed Bennie Mitchell on trespass notice and learned that he had an outstanding warrant with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office. Mitchell was arrested by the JCSO and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

8:22 p.m. A white semi was reported as driving recklessly at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95.

9:29 p.m. Officers assisted the Jasper County Sheriff's Office with a domestic dispute at a residence on Rice Shire Road.

1:08 a.m. Officers responded to the 19 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

1:29 a.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

6:42 a.m. Officers responded to Shade Tree Street for a report of four puppies running at large.

10:38 a.m. Officers responded to Palmetto Veterinary Hospital, 409 South Green Street, for a burglary. The incident remains under further investigation.

10:40 a.m. Officers responded to Green Street Storage, 261 Green Street, for a report of locks being cut on storage units. The incident remains under further investigation.

11:37 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Wise Street for a report of a male subject exposing himself to a female subject. The incident remains under further investigation.

11:47 a.m. Officers responded to Main Street Pharmacy, 7752 West Main Street, for an activated alarm.

3:17 p.m. Officers responded to Eric's Automotive, 11115 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a male subject trespassing on the property.

1:41 a.m. Officers responded to Tarboro Road for a suspicious vehicle.

3:00 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Sailfish Circle in reference to loud music.

11:26 a.m. Officers responded to Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for a welfare check on a room.

12:23 p.m. Officers assisted the Jasper County Sheriff's Office with a shooting incident on Orange Grove Road.

2:11 p.m. A white semi was reported as driving recklessly at the 29 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:37 p.m. Officers responded to the detention center in Charleston County to pick up Tremaine R. Washington. Washington had outstanding warrants on him from an incident on February 12, 2016. Washington used a relatives name on a traffic stop. Washington was arrested for speeding, driving under suspension and providing false information. Washington was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

3:31 p.m. Officers responded to Jasper's Porch, 153 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of a suspicious male subject.

3:38 p.m. Officers responded to Shade Tree Street for a report of a dog running at large.

4:19 p.m. Officers responded to KFC, 8146 East Main Street, for a report of a counterfeit bill being passed. The male subject that passed the bill was gone when officers arrived.

5:10 p.m. Officers responded to Farm Bureau, 9438 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

7:04 p.m. Officers responded to Piggly Wiggly, 10898 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a male subject loitering on the property. Kevin Kinard was placed on trespass notice at the request of Piggly Wiggly.

10:09 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street for a report of loud noise.

11:30 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on South Green Street for an activated alarm.

July 27

1:53 a.m. Officers observed a silver Honda Accord traveling above the posted speed limit at the 24 mile marker south bound on I-95. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and located a quantity of marijuana. The driver of the vehicle, Nakiea Powell, was cited for speeding and simple possession of marijuana. Powell was released with a court date.

3:13 a.m. Officers assisted the South Carolina Highway Patrol with a vehicle collision at the 16 mile marker north bound on I-95.

8:40 a.m. A white motor home was reported as driving recklessly at the 30 mile marker south bound on I-95.

11:27 a.m. Officers responded to McDonald's, 8548 Grahamville Road, for a report of a male subject panhandling in the parking lot. The male subject was gone when officers arrived.

12:26 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Adams Street in reference to the inside of a carport being spray painted during the night.

1:45 p.m. Officers responded to Pizza Hut, 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

8:28 p.m. Officers responded to Logan Lane Apartments, 544 South Logan Street, for a report of loud music coming from a vehicle in the parking lot.

9:25 p.m. Officers responded to Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of two male subjects arguing in the parking lot. The two male subjects were gone when officers arrived.

10:35 p.m. Officers responded to the 24 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

July 26

9:33 a.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of a male subject having a handgun on his person. A description of the male subject was given, and when officers arrived, the male subject was located in the parking lot. The male subject, Tavon Strobert, was found to be in possession of a handgun and was arrested for unlawful carry. Strobert was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

11:51 a.m. Officers responded to Pizza Hut, 108586 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a breach of trust involving an employee. The incident remains under further investigation.

12:43 p.m. Officers responded to KFC, 8146 East Main Street, for a counterfeit bill being passed for payment.

1:46 p.m. Officers responded to McDonald's, 8548 Grahamville Road, for a report of a male subject loitering in the parking lot.

5:02 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Brandon Cove in reference to a male subject refusing to leave the property. The male subject left when officers arrived.

5:37 p.m. Officers responded to the Shell Station in reference to an intoxicated female subject on the property. Officers located Cindy Spencer on the property and she had the appearance of being intoxicated. Spencer was arrested for disorderly conduct and open container of liquor. Spencer was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

6:55 p.m. A blue Dodge Caravan was reported as driving recklessly at the 30 mile marker south bound on I-95.

8:42 p.m. A red semi was reported as driving recklessly at the 30 mile marker south bound on I-95.

8:59 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

July

8:10 a.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

9:54 a.m. Officers responded to Grays Highway near the intersection of Hagin Drive for a suspicious male subject.

10:54 a.m. Officers responded to the Waffle House, 8185 East Main Street, for a report of a male subject that the business wished to have placed on trespass notice. The male subject was placed on trespass notice for the property and he departed.

12:29 p.m. Officers responded to the Easy Mart, 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

2:38 p.m. Alexis Deason, who had an outstanding warrant for petit larceny, was located and arrested. Deason's warrant stemmed from an incident on July 23, 2019, where she was accused of taking a propane tank from a residence on 1st Avenue. Deason was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

6:01 p.m. A silver Ford Mustang was reported as driving recklessly on Sweet William Road.

6:06 p.m. Officers responded to Coosaw Scenic Drive for a motorist assist.

July 24

12:52 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on 1st Avenue for a larceny. After an investigation it was determined that Alexis Deason entered the yard of the homeowner and departed with a propane tank. A warrant affidavit has been submitted charging Alexis Deason with petit larceny.

7:21 a.m. A black Toyota Camry was reported as driving recklessly at the 33 mile marker south bound on I-95.

7:26 a.m. Officers responded to South Jacob Smart Boulevard for a broken water line causing flooding in the roadway.

8:07 a.m. Officers responded to McDonald's, 8548 Grahamville Road, for a report of a suspicious female in the parking lot.

9:31 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Third Avenue and Green Street for a report of a female needing medical attention. After an investigation was conducted, it was determined that the female jumped from a moving vehicle and sustained injuries as a result. The female was transported to a local hospital by EMS.

11:14 a.m. Officers responded to Pizza Bella, 8196 East Main Street, for a report of a cat running at large.

12:51 p.m. Officers responded to Plantation Inn, 1143 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of two females arguing in the parking lot.

1:28 p.m. Officers responded to East Main Street for a report of four people arguing near the roadway.

2:43 p.m. Officers responded to the area behind Ken's Tires for a civil matter.

3:11 p.m. Officers responded to Badcock Furniture, 10213 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of counterfeit U.S. currency being passed at the business. The incident remains under further investigation.

4:53 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of North Green Street and North Jacob Smart Boulevard for debris from the roadway striking a vehicle.

6:00 p.m. Officers responded to Bobops, 8548 Grahamville Road, for a report of two females arguing in the roadway.

7:55 p.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

7:22 a.m. Officers responded to Bees Creek Road for a report of a male subject in the roadway.

11:56 a.m. Officers responded to East Wilson Street for a child locked inside of a running vehicle. Officers were able to unlock the vehicle.

2:14 p.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of two people arguing in the parking lot.

4:47 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of South Jacob Smart Boulevard and South Green Street for a report of a dog running at large.

9:28 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shadetree Street for a domestic dispute between a male and female subject.

10:49 p.m. A silver car was reported as driving recklessly at the 30 mile marker south bound on I-95.

July 22

12:25 a.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

8:37 a.m. Officers responded to Carolina Collision, 11365 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of three rims being stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot. After a short investigation, the rims were located at the residence of Dwight Crosby. A warrant affidavit has been submitted charging Crosby with petit larceny.

10:16 a.m. A grey Mazda sedan was reported as driving recklessly at the 15 mile marker north bound on I-95.

12:43 p.m. Officers responded to Regions Bank, 11004 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of deposit fraud. The incident remains under further investigation.

1:30 p.m. Officers responded to Kingdom Touch Ministries, 6714 Tillman Road, for an activated alarm.

2:58 p.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, to conduct a welfare check on a resident.

3:45 p.m. Officers met with a complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to stolen checks being used for purchases. The incident remains under further investigation.

3:59 p.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a suspicious male subject in the parking lot.

7:37 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of South Jacob Smart Boulevard and South Green Street for a report of a dog running at large.

8:53 p.m. Officers responded to Kingdom Touch Ministries, 6714 Tillman Road, for an activated alarm.

9:30 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Hagin Drive for a domestic dispute. After an investigation was conducted, it was discovered that Jarrett Sandifer allegedly committed the offense of domestic violence and assault and battery, 3rd degree. Warrant affidavits have been submitted charging Sandifer with those offenses.

10:36 p.m. Officers responded to Heron Crossing Apartments, 72 Heron Crossing Road, for a report of a group of males loitering in the parking lot.

July 21

12:37 a.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 80 Blue Heron Drive, for a report of a female panhandling in the parking lot.

10:29 a.m. A white U-Haul truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 26 mile marker south bound on I-95.

3:32 p.m. Officers responded to the Waffle House, 8185 East Main Street, for a report of a stolen cell phone. The incident remains under further investigation.

8:08 p.m. Officers responded to Hagin Drive for a report of a suspicious male subject.

9:07 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

10:03 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Wendy's, 8480 Grahamville Road, for a motorist assist.

July 20

2:42 a.m. Officers observed a white Chevrolet truck failing to maintain its lane at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95. Officers conducted a traffic stop and after a short investigation, determined that the driver of the vehicle, David Eric Gaspin, was driving while under the influence. Gaspin was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Gaspin's vehicle was towed by a wrecker service from rotation to their facility.

5:45 a.m. Officers responded to South Jacob Smart Boulevard for a work van stuck in a ditch.

9:45 a.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

1:58 p.m. Officers responded to Harvey's, 8205 East Main Street, for a shoplifting incident. Albert Bright was given a summons to appear in court for the offense of shoplifting.

July 19

12:12 a.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 80 Blue Heron Drive, for a motorist assist.

10:12 a.m. Officers responded to Wise Street for a report of two dogs running at large.

11:48 a.m. Officers responded to North Green Street for a report of two dogs running at large.

12:01 p.m. Officers responded to Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for an unwanted guest.

6:18 p.m. Officers responded to Harvey's, 8205 East Main Street, for a civil matter involving child custody.

8:09 p.m. Officers responded to West Main Street for a report of three suspicious male subjects.

9:45 p.m. Officers responded to Burger King, 8257 East Main Street, for a report of a disgruntled customer blocking the drive-thru line.

July 18

4:14 a.m. Officers responded to Grays Highway for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle and a deer. No injuries were reported.

7:54 a.m. Officers responded to the commercial motor vehicle parking area south bound on I-95 for an over-turned semi truck. No injuries were reported.

1:40 a.m. Officers responded to the Bank of the Lowcountry, 8058 East Main Street, for a report of a female subject attempting to cash a suspicious check. Charges are pending identification of the suspect.

2:36 p.m. Officers observed a silver Honda Accord with an expired vehicle license. When officers ran the vehicle license, they learned that the vehicle was reported as stolen from Charleston County. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and conducted an investigation. The vehicle will be returned to the rightful owner.

5:49 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Oak Ridge South for a domestic dispute.

10:50 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on West Main Street for a domestic dispute.

July 17

8:27 a.m. Officers responded to Harvey's, 8205 East Main Street, for a report of a male subject taking an electric shopping cart. Officers located the subject, Ronald Palmer, and the electric shopping cart on James L. Taylor Drive. Palmer was arrested for larceny and trespassing after notice. Palmer was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

10:54 a.m. An orange Jeep was reported as driving recklessly at the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95.

12:14 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Oak Ridge North in reference to a male subject looking through a bedroom window and exposing himself. Dexter Gray was located and arrested for indecent exposure. Gray was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

2:06 p.m. A Coachman motor home was reported as driving recklessly at the 14 mile marker north bound on I-95.

4:42 p.m. Officers conducted a welfare check on a male subject at Turtle Park, 7675 West Main Street.

6:28 p.m. A red semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 12 mile marker north bound on I-95.

July 16

3:43 a.m. A sliver Acura was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

6:29 a.m. A FedEx truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 33 mile marker south bound on I-95.

6:54 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Bees Creek Road and Grahamville Road for a vehicle collision involving two people. One person was transported by EMS.

10:38 a.m. Officers responded to J&M, 159 South Green Street, for a dispute between an employee and a customer.

1:27 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Oak Ridge North for a 911 hang up call.

7:29 p.m. Officers responded to the 23 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

9:00 p.m. Officers met with deputies from the Jasper County Sheriff's Office on Fordville Road where they had Fabian Leonard Habersham detained. Habersham as wanted by the Ridgeland Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant for assault and battery, 3rd degree. Habersham was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

July 15

2:19 a.m. A grey Toyota Corolla was reported as driving recklessly at the 25 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:27 a.m. Officers responded to Grays Highway for a motorist assist.

7:13 a.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 80 Blue Heron Drive, for a suspicious male in the parking lot.

8:32 a.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of harassment.

11:56 a.m. Officers responded to the Health Department, 651 Grays Highway, for a report of harassment.

1:54 p.m. Officers responded to Waffle House, 8185 East Main Street, to conduct a welfare check on a male subject in the parking lot.

11:11 a.m. Officers responded to Badcock Furniture, 10213 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

11:50 a.m. Officers responded to the Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

4:32 p.m. Officers responded to the 20 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

11:11 a.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

12:39 p.m. Officers responded to Captain Bill Road for a suspicious vehicle.

2:15 p.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a male loitering in the parking lot.

3:14 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

3:43 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. One person was transported by EMS to a local hospital.

4:05 p.m. Officers responded to the Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for a suspicious vehicle.

5:15 p.m. Officers observed a red Jaguar make several lane violations and conducted a traffic stop. The vehicle stopped at the BP Station on South Jacob Smart Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle, Brian Mervin, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving under suspension and operating an uninsured vehicle. Mervin was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. A wrecker from rotation towed the vehicle to their facility.

5:31 p.m. Officers spoke with a case worker from MUSC in reference to a possible child abuse incident. The incident remains under further investigation.

9:04 p.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a male subject panhandling in the parking lot.

9:13 p.m. A brown dump truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 11 mile marker north bound on I-95.

11:51 p.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of a dog running at large.

11:53 p.m. Officers observed a dark colored GMC truck make numerous lane violations on Smith's Crossing Road. Officers conducted a traffic stop and discovered that the driver of the vehicle, Jose Romero, was under the influence. Romero was arrested for driving under the influence, no driver's license and a child restraint violation. Romero was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

July 12

12:28 a.m. Officers responded to North Green Street for a suspicious vehicle.

6:34 a.m. Officers responded to Three Tee Circle for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

7:04 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Wise Street for an activated alarm.

7:12 a.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

7:27 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Brandon Cove for a reported vehicle break-in. The incident remains under further investigation.

11:10 a.m. Officers responded to the Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for a male and female subject arguing in the parking lot.

11:19 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on North Green Street for a follow up on a previous case. While at the residence, James Matthew Dara was found to be in possession of suspected heroin. Dara was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:23 p.m. Officers observed a gold Cadillac making numerous lane violations at the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95. A traffic stop was conducted and it was determined that the driver of the vehicle, Melanie Lease, was under the influence of alcohol. Lease was arrested for driving under the influence and open container. Lease was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Lease's vehicle was towed by a wrecker from rotation to their facility.

1:59 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and Captain Bill Road for vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

4:06 p.m. Officers responded to the Citgo Station, 107 Sycamore Drive, for a report of a male subject loitering on the property.

6:29 p.m. Officers responded to Turpin Park, 901 North Logan Street, for a report of a dog running at large.

July 11

8:01 a.m. A white Nissan Altima was reported as driving recklessly at the 14 mile marker north bound on I-95.

8:26 a.m. A white KIA was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

3:41 p.m. Officers responded to Carter's Mill Estates for a report of a male subject riding a dirt bike on the roadway.

4:10 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Dolphin Drive in reference to a stolen utility trailer. The incident remains under further investigation.

5:38 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

12:14 p.m. Officers responded to the Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a male subject trespassing on the property. When officers arrived they observed Ronald Palmer on the property. Palmer was previously placed on trespass notice by officers at the request of the business. Palmer was arrested for trespassing after notice and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:37 p.m. Officers responded to Piggly Wiggly parking lot, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

2:42 p.m. Officers responded to the Boy's and Girl' Club, 456 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

5:51 p.m. Officers responded to the Sunoco Station, 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an argument involving several people in the parking lot. One of the people involved, Keon Spann, had an outstanding warrant with the Ridgeland Police Department for petit larceny. Spann was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

8:58 p.m. Officers responded to the Travel Lodge, 8216 East Main Street, for a civil dispute between tenants.

July 8

3:00 a.m. Officers responded to Heron Crossing Apartments, 72 Heron Crossing Road, for a report of a vehicle break-in. The incident remains under further investigation.

10:31 p.m. Officers responded to Enmarket, 8250 East Main Street, where Sandeara Warren was arrested for breach of trust. The arrest was a result of an investigation at the request of Enmarket for employee theft. Warren was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.
