6:05 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street for a larceny of puppies. After an investigation was conducted, a warrant was issued charging Ryan Zander Warner with larceny of dogs.

4:06 a.m. Officers responded to the Forest Motel, 10504 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of two male subjects fighting. As a result of the incident, Tatham Walsh was arrested for assault and battery, 3rd degree. Walsh was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

10:23 a.m. Officers responded to the Forest Motel, 10504 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, to assist EMS with a transport.

12:32 p.m. Officers responded to Est Main Street for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

2:14 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street in reference to children being left at the residence without adult supervision.

2:30 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Wilson Street for an activated alarm.

3:55 p.m. Markeshia Alyssa Dupont turned herself in to officers at the Ridgeland Police Department on an assault and battery warrant. The warrant stemmed from an incident on September 7, 2020. Dupont was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:17 p.m. Officers responded to the mailboxes on Shade Tree Street for Carter's Mill Estates for a report of keys being left in the mailboxes.

2:49 p.m. Officers responded to the Ridgeland Police Department to meet with a complainant in reference to a child exchange issue.

1:17 p.m. Officers responded to the 21 north bound on ramp for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

5:31 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Main Street for a domestic dispute.

8:36 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street for a domestic dispute.

10:34 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on 3rd Avenue to assist EMS.

January 8

12:56 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street to assist EMS with a patient transport.

4:11 a.m. While on patrol, officers observed a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle involved in a larceny at the Coin Laundry. A traffic stop was conducted and the passenger of the vehicle, Barry Lew, matched the description of the suspect from the earlier incident. Lew was arrested for open container and affidavits were submitted charging him with larceny. Lew was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

7:54 a.m. Officers responded to New Hong Kong Restaurant, 8176 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

11:34 a.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of B&T's Food Fresh Market, 8205 East Main Street, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

11:24 p.m Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street for a report of an unwanted person at the residence. The person left before the arrival of law enforcement.

January 7

10:04 a.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of the BP Station, 80 Blue Heron Drive, for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

3:43 p.m. Officers spoke with a complainant on the telephone in reference to a breech of trust. The incident remains under further investigation.

5:30 p.m. A blue Chrysler mini van was reported as driving recklessly at the 20 mile marker south bound on I-95.

January 4

2:20 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street for a report of an unknown male subject being in a yard. Officers were unable to locate the subject when they arrived.

4:06 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of South Jacob Smart Boulevard and Smith's Crossing for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. One person was transported to a local hospital by EMS.

6:35 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street for a civil matter.

6:43 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Green Street and West Main Street for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. One person was transported to a local hospital by EMS.
