January 31

12:52 a.m. Officers assisted the Jasper County Sheriff's Office on a traffic stop on Captain Bill Road. A Ridgeland Police Department K-9 was used to do a free air sniff of the vehicle and the K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and a substance suspected to be marijuana was located in the vehicle. Deputies also located a handgun with an obliterated serial number in the vehicle. JCSO arrested Donnavon Taylor as a result of the incident.

2:45 a.m. Officers responded to New Hong Kong Restaurant, 8176 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

5:46 a.m. Officers responded to Waffle House, 8185 East Main Street, for a report of a subject that the business wished to have placed on trespass notice.

6:53 a.m. Officers observed a sedan traveling above the posted speed limit at the 22 mile marker north bound. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle, Dylan Bartlett, was wanted out of Florence County. Bartlett was arrested on the outstanding warrant and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

8:06 a.m. A white GMC Suburban was reported as driving recklessly at the 24 mile marker south bound on I-95.

8:37 a.m. Officers responded to The Cracked Egg, 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of an assault and battery. After speaking to the victim and a witness of the incident, it was determined that an employee of the business, Clifford Hill, struck the victim with a metal baton about his upper torso. Hill was arrested for assault and battery, 2nd degree. Hill was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

10:50 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Jacob Smart Boulevard and Main Street for a motorist assist.

12:46 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Carquest, 11059 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a stolen vehicle license. The vehicle license was reported as stolen out of Georgia. The license was collected to be returned back to Georgia.

9:55 p.m. Officers responded to Grays Highway for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle and a deer. No injuries were reported.

January 30

2:52 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on South Green Street for an activated alarm.

3:42 a.m. Officers located Deidra Roberts within the town limits of Ridgeland. Roberts had an outstanding warrant for petit larceny and she was arrested. Roberts was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:19 p.m. Officers responded to Pizza Bella, 8196 East Main Street, for a report of a customer leaving without paying for her meal. The incident remains under further investigation.

1:24 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Colony Drive for a welfare check on a dog.

2:13 p.m. A car hauler was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

3:54 p.m. Officers responded to West Main Street for a report of a suspicious male on a moped.

4:14 p.m. Officers responded to West Main Street for a report of two suspicious males standing n front of a business for an extended period of time.

4:39 p.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments for a report of Clinton Green being on the property and refusing to leave. Green was previously placed on trespass notice for the property. Green was located and was arrested for trespassing after notice. Green was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

9:16 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Wilson Street for a domestic dispute between a male and female subject. No charges are pending.

12:43 a.m. Officers responded to 21 Centre, 8120 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

1:35 a.m. Officers responded to New Hong Kong Restaurant, 8176 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

8:40 a.m. A green semi truck pulling a silver trailer was reported as driving recklessly at the 30 mile marker south bound on I-95.

10:48 a.m. Officers responded to Wood Ridge Apartments, 414 South Logan Street, for a report of a dog running at large.

12:36 p.m. Officers responded to the Boy's and Girl's Club, 456 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

1:44 p.m. A white Cadillac Escalade was reported as driving recklessly at the 31 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:19 p.m. Officers responded to the Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for a report of two suspicious people in the parking lot.

4:32 p.m. Officers responded to Oak Ridge Mobile Home Park for a report of loud noises.

4:58 p.m. Officers responded to Wood Ridge Apartments, 414 South Logan Street, for a domestic dispute between a male and female subject. No charges were filed.

10:13 p.m. Officers assisted EMS with a patient transport at the Enmarket, 8250 East Main Street.

8:51 a.m. Officers responded to New Hong Kong Restaurant, 8176 East Main Street, for an activated alarm. 10:13 a.m.

10:13 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Wood Duck Street for a larceny. The property owner reported that copper coils were stolen from a HVAC unit on the property. The incident remains under further investigation.

1:50 p.m. Officers met with a female complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to threatening text messages.

10:27 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Oak Ridge South for a domestic dispute.

12:46 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Nuna Rock Road and North Jacob Smart Boulevard for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

12:53 a.m. Officers responded to Bees Creek Road for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle and a deer. No injuries were reported.

1:15 a.m. A green Ford Mustang was reported as driving recklessly at the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95.

4:49 a.m. Officers responded to West Smith Street for a domestic dispute between husband and wife.

9:56 a.m. Officers responded to Azalea Avenue in reference to an ATV being operated in the roadway.

9:47 p.m. Officers responded to Family Dollar, 73 South Green Street, after an employee noticed that they received a counterfeit bill during the day. The incident remains under further investigation.

1:00 p.m. A gray SUV was reported as driving recklessly on Grays Highway as it entered the town limits.

7:29 p.m. Officers responded to Old House Road for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle and a deer. No injuries were reported.

9:05 p.m. Officers responded to the Short Stop BP, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, to assist EMS with a patient transport.

9:06 a.m. Officers assisted the South Carolina Highway Patrol with a vehicle collision at the 16 mile marker south bound on I-95.

10:42 a.m. Officers responded to the Econo Lodge, 511 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of people trespassing in an unrented room.

1:05 p.m. A gold Honda Accord was reported as driving recklessly at the 26 mile marker south bound on I-95.

6:38 p.m. At the request of the Hardeeville Police Department, a K9 officer from the Ridgeland Police Department assisted in the search of a suspect in a domestic dispute in Hardeeville.

6:47 p.m. Officers responded to North Jacob Smart Boulevard for a vehicle collision involving vehicle and deer. No injuries were reported.

7:48 p.m. Officers responded to King of Carts, 10750 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

1:18 p.m. Officers met with a victim at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to a possible forgery and stolen vehicle title. The incident remains under further investigation.

3:50 p.m. Officers responded to the Ridgeland School, 250 Jaguar Trail, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

5:27 p.m. Officers responded to The Jaded Curve, 7794 West Main Street, for an activated alarm.

1:00 a.m. A white VW was reported as driving recklessly at the 20 mile marker north bound on I-95.

10:16 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Fifth Avenue for an activated alarm.

1:05 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of West Main Street and Green Street for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. One person was transported by EMS.

7:24 p.m. Officers observed a gray Ford Five Hundred traveling above the posted speed limit on North Jacob Smart Boulevard. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle learned that the driver, Matthew Thomas Damico, had a suspended driver's license. Damico was arrested for speeding, driving under suspension and failure to surrender a suspended driver's license. Damico was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Damico's vehicle was towed by a wrecker from rotation to their facility.

12:10 p.m. Officers responded to James L. Taylor Drive for a report of a missing dog. The dog was located after officers arrived on scene.

10:28 a.m. Officers responded to Brandon Cove for a report of cats running at large.

11:34 a.m. A white Ford F-350 was observed traveling above the posted speed limit on South Jacob Smart Boulevard. Officers conducted a traffic strop and identified the driver as Francisco Campa. Campa was driving the vehicle with a suspended driver's license. Campa was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Campa's vehicle was towed by a wrecker from rotation to their facility.

1:55 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Family Dollar, 73 South Green Street, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

7:07 p.m. Officers assisted the South Carolina Highway Patrol on a traffic stop on North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

January 14

1:14 a.m. Officers responded to Waffle House, 8185 East Main Street, for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

7:57 a.m. Officers responded to Ken's Tire Service, 10464 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

9:19 a.m. Officers responded to Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, for a report of a shoplifting. The incident remains under further investigation.

1:12 p.m. Officers responded to the Beaufort County Detention Center to pick up Kyle Riley. Riley had outstanding warrants from an incident that occurred on July 13, 2018. Riley was booked into the Jasper County Detention Center for resisting arrest, operating an unlicensed vehicle, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving under suspension.

3:46 p.m. Officers responded to McDonald's, 8548 Grahamville Road, for a report of a counterfeit bill being passed by a customer.

7:21 p.m. Officers responded to Logan Lane Apartments, 544 South Logan Street, for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

8:50 p.m. Officers responded to Sunoco, 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a suspicious person in the parking lot.

5:12 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Malphrus Street for report of an unwanted person trying to pick a fight with the homeowner.

5:14 p.m. A black BMW was reported as driving recklessly on Coosaw Scenic Drive.

8:03 p.m. Officers observed an intoxicated male subject on North Green Street as he was attempting to ride his bicycle. Clinton Green was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

8:25 p.m. Officers responded to North Green Street for a report of a dog running at large.

10:16 p.m. Officers responded to Heron Crossing Apartments. 72 Heron Crossing Road, for a domestic between boyfriend and girlfriend.

10:31 p.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of a large group of people arguing.

11:13 p.m. Officers responded to Star Point BP, 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a domestic dispute between husband and wife.

January 11

1:16 a.m. Officers responded to Carolina Lodge, 8260 East Main Street, for a civil dispute.

10:11 a.m. Officers responded to Bennett Medical Clinic, 10876 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a larceny. The incident remains under further investigation.

11:03 a.m. Officers responded to the Boy's and Girl's Club, 456 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

11:39 a.m. Officers responded to Shades of Color, 8225 East Main Street, for a report of a male subject yelling at customers.

4:06 p.m. Officers responded to Shine Town, 857 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of a larceny. The incident remains under further investigation.

5:29 p.m. Officers responded to the Citgo Station, 107 Sycamore Drive, for a report of a subject asking people for money.

11:43 p.m. Officers responded to Fordville Road for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

January 10

12:48 a.m. Officers responded to Car Quest, 11059 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm. Officers observed fresh signs of an entry and searched the exterior and interior of the business. Officers deployed a K9 and the K9 tracked a subject to a residence on North Green Street. Officers located a subject outside at that residence and the male subject, identified as Christopher Paul Getsinger, ran once he observed the presence of the officers. Getsinger was located a short time later and arrested for burglary. While officers were attempting to locate Getsinger, James Matthew Dara was also located. Dara had two outstanding warrants and he was arrested. Both subjects were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

5:35 a.m. Officers responded to the 17 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a report of a person walking on the roadway.

6:49 a.m. Officers responded to the 19 mile marker north bound for a motorist assist.

8:23 a.m. Officers assisted EMS at Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue.

12:44 p.m. Officers responded to the Carolina Lodge, 8260 East Main Street, for a report of a stolen television. Officers watched video from the security cameras and observed Christopher Paul Getsinger exiting a room with what appeared to be a television. Charged are pending further investigation.

2:05 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound for a report of tire debris in the roadway.

3:25 p.m. Officers assisted the South Carolina Highway Patrol on Sweet William Road.

6:04 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Grays Highway for an activated alarm.

6:53 p.m. Officers responded to Enmarker, 8250 East Main Street, for a report of a damaged fuel pump.

2:21 a.m. Officers responded to Car Quest Auto Parts, 11059 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

7:29 a.m. Officers responded to Car Quest Auto Parts, 11059 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a burglary that occurred over night. The incident remains under further investigation.

10:58 a.m. Officers responded to Boat N RV World, 401 Sycamore Drive, for a travel camper that could not be located on the property. The camper was listed as stolen in NCIC. The incident remains under further investigation.

12:39 p.m. A black Jeep was reported as driving recklessly at the 27 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:01 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Main Street and Jacob Smart Boulevard for a vehicle collision involving three vehicles. One person was transported by EMS.

8:50 p.m. Officers responded to Pizza Hut, 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a civil matter involving a former employee.

8:59 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Adams Street for a civil matter involving a vehicle parked at the residence.

9:43 p.m. A red semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 15 mile marker north bound on I-95.

2:54 a.m. Officers responded to Main Street Centre, 8084 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

3:12 a.m. Officers responded to Citgo, 107 Sycamore Drive, for a report of a suspicious person.

4:16 a.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

4:50 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on North Green Street for a report of a stolen vehicle. After an investigation was conducted by the Ridgeland Police Department, a warrant was issued for James Matthew Dara for grand larceny.

2:46 a.m. Officers responded to Rite-Aid, 8225 East Main Street, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

5:08 p.m. Officers observed a tan Toyota Camry traveling in excess of the posted speed limit on I-95 at the 19 mile marker north bound. A traffic stop was conducted and officers detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Officers located a quantity of marijuana after a search. The driver of the vehicle was cited for simple possession of marijuana and released.

6:28 p.m. Officers responded to Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, for a report of a suspicious person.

7:17 p.m. A white box truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:12 p.m. Officers responded to the Jasper County School District Transportation Office in reference to two buses missing from the property. The buses were later located at another school.

4:21 p.m. Officers responded to Waffle House, 8185 East Main Street, for a report of a customer yelling at patrons and employees while at the business.

10:40 p.m. Officers responded to North Green Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

January 6

12:19 a.m. Officers responded to Heron Crossing Apartments, 313 Heron Crossing Road, for a report of a juvenile child refusing to come to their residence.

3:19 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Adams Street in reference to a domestic dispute.

5:15 a.m. A vehicle was reported as traveling south bound at the 33 mile marker north bound on I-95.

8:49 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Newlin Street for a civil dispute.

11:51 p.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

January 5

12:11 a.m. A maroon Jeep was reported s driving recklessly at the 17 mile marker north bound on I-95.

12:56 a.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving four vehicles. No injuries were reported.

8:53 a.m. Officers observed a black Nissan Murano traveling above the posted speed limit at the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle, Frank Jackson, III, was listed as being wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Jackson was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:14 p.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker south bound for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

1:41 p.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker south bound for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

3:27 p.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of an intoxicated male. When officers arrived they located Charles Prince Edwards. Edwards had the appearance of being intoxicated while he was in public. Edwards was arrested for public drunkenness and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

5:28 p.m. A white Ford Crown Victoria was reported as driving recklessly at the 26 mile marker south bound on I-95.

6:45 p.m. Officers responded to El Ranchito, 11382 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a male and female subject arguing.

6:56 p.m. Officers responded to the Sunoco Station, 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a suspicious male.

6:58 p.m. A blue semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 8 mile marker north bound on I-95.

7:02 p.m. Officers responded to Wise Street for a report of loud music.

10:52 p.m. Officers responded to Waffle House, 8185 East Main Street, for a report of a male subject asking people for money. Edward Garvin was placed on trespass notice at the request of Waffle House.

11:10 p.m. Officers responded to North Logan Street for a report of a suspicious female subject.

January 4

12:24 a.m. Officers responded to Enmarket, 8250 East Main Street, where Deandrea Monique German was on the property after previously being placed on trespass notice. German was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:04 a.m. Officers responded to the Sunoco station, 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a motorist assist.

8:41 a.m. Officers responded to Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of a stolen license plate. The incident remains under further investigation.

12:29 p.m. Officers responded to the Boy's and Girl's Club, 4556 Grays Highway, for a vehicle collision that occurred in the parking lot involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

1:52 p.m. Officers responded to the Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of a suspicious person.

2:28 p.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 80 Blue Heron Drive, for a domestic dispute between a male and female subject.

6:01 p.m. A black semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 20 mile marker south bound on I-95.

7:19 p.m. Officers responded to the 20 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

9:20 p.m. Officers responded to the 17 mile marker north bound for a motorist assist.

3:00 a.m. A dump truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

5:38 a.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

7:25 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on West Adams Street for an animal complaint.

9:22 a.m. Officers responded to the Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, for a report of a shoplifting. The suspect, Robert York, was located outside of the business with an item he did not pay for from the business. York was cited with shoplifting and given a court date.

9:32 a.m. Officers responded to Kingdom Touch, 6714 Tillman Road, for an activated alarm.

11:19 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on West Adams Street for an activated alarm.

11:38 a.m. Officers responded to Woodridge Apartments, 414 South Logan Street, for a domestic dispute.

6:53 p.m. Officers responded to Sunoco, 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a domestic dispute that took place in the parking lot.

7:18 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Adams Street for an activated alarm.

10:38 p.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 80 Blue Heron Drive, for a report of a suspicious person.

January 2

4:15 a.m. Officers observed a silver Toyota traveling in excess of the posted speed limit at the 20 mile marker south bound on I-95. A traffic stop was conducted and officers detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and a quantity of marijuana was located within the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was cited for speeding and simple possession of marijuana.

5:44 a.m. Officers responded to Enmarket, 8250 East Main Street, for a report of a suspicious person.

9:06 a.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

10:59 a.m. Officers responded to the 19 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

11:17 a.m. Officers responded to Brandon Cove for a report of a suspicious person.

11:31 a.m. Officers responded to the 19 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

11:32 a.m. Officers observed Leonard Randall Jones at the Short Stop BP, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. Jones had an outstanding warrant for shoplifting from an incident that occurred on December 31, 2018, at Enmarket. Jones was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

4:13 p.m. A black Honda Accord was reported as driving recklessly at the 21 mile marker south bound on I-95.

4:55 p.m. Officers responded to 3rd Avenue for a report of a suspicious person.

6:15 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on McCormack Avenue for a report of a stolen or missing handgun. The incident remains under further investigation.

9:10 p.m. Officers responded to South Jacob Smart Boulevard for a report of a dog running at large.

12:18 a.m. Officers responded to EnMarket, 8250 East Main Street, for a report of a suspicious person.

9:19 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Adams Street and South Jacob Smart Boulevard to assist the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

10:56 a.m. Officers responded to the 24 mile marker north bound for a motorist assist.

1:38 p.m. Officers responded to Enmarket, 8250 East Main Street, for a reported shoplifting. A warrant affidavit has been submitted charging Leonard Randall Jones with shoplifting. Jones is accused of stealing a 12 pack of Bud Light beer.

6:16 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection Main Street and Jacob Smart Boulevard for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

7:30 p.m. Officers responded to Heron Crossing Apartments, on Heron Crossing Road, for a report of loud noises coming from an apartment.

11:18 p.m. Officers responded to West Main Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
