2:30 p.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

5:16 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on 1st Avenue for a 911 hang up call.

7:07 p.m. Officers responded to Ken's Tires, 10464 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

10:22 p.m. Officers responded to East Wilson Street for a report of dogs barking.

2:08 a.m. Officers responded to BBQ Bella, 8196 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

8:25 a.m. Officers responded to West Adams Street for a report of a bicycle in the roadway.

10:47 a.m. A yellow semi was reported as driving recklessly at the 27 mile marker south bound on I-95.

11:02 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on 4th Avenue for an activated alarm.

3:43 p.m. A grey Ford Ranger was reported as driving recklessly at the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95.

5:16 p.m. Officers met with a complainant in reference to a lost or stolen vehicle license.

Officers responded to South Logan Street for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

February 27

5:38 a.m. Officers responded to Sycamore Drive for a report of a vehicle parked in the roadway. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.

10:28 a.m. Officers responded to Klugh Avenue for an On-Star notification of a vehicle needing assistance. Responding officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

11:28 a.m. A red semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 14 mile marker north bound on I-95.

1:57 p.m. Officers discovered a stolen truck parked at the rest area on the north bound side of I-95. The vehicle was returned to the lawful owner.

3:05 p.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a male subject trespassing on the property. When officers arrived, Damien Busby was found to be on the property. Busby was served with a trespass notice on February 11, 2020 and told not to return to the property. Busby was arrested for trespass after notice and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a red Chevrolet Cruise with the vehicle coming to a stop on Shade Tree Street. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. The vehicle was towed by a wrecker from rotation to their facility. The incident remains under further investigation.

February 26

3:11 a.m. Officers responded to Firefly Drive for a report of people in the roadway.

5:04 a.m. Officers responded to Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville to transport a patient for a mental evaluation in Columbia.

6:17 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Wilson Drive for a report of dogs barking.

9:04 a.m. Officers responded to Sauls Funeral Home, 310 East Adams Street, for an activated alarm.

1:15 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on McTeer Avenue for an activated alarm.

8:18 p.m. Officers responded to the Ridgeland Correctional Institute, 5 Correction Road, for a damage to property. An employees vehicle was damaged in the parking lot by another employee. A warrant affidavit has been filed charging Chanequa Taylor with damage to property.

Officers responded to a residence on Sailfish Circle for a report of two male subjects fighting in the yard. The subjects were gone when officers arrived.

9:49 p.m. Officers responded to North Jacob Smart Boulevard for a report of an injured cat.

10:19 p.m. Officers responded to the New Hong Kong Restaurant, 8176 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

11:05 p.m. Officers responded to the Jasper County Detention Center where the Hardeeville Police Department brought in Alicia Juanita Brewer on their charges. Brewer had 8 charges of forgery from an incident on June 10, 2019, at Harvey's Grocery Store.

February 25

6:37 a.m. Officers responded to South Jacob Smart Boulevard for a motorist assist.

11:22 a.m. A blue Chevrolet Impala was reported as driving recklessly in the parking lot of Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue.

11:58 a.m. Officers responded to East Main Street for an activated alarm.

12:54 p.m. Officers responded to the Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for a suspicious vehicle.

12:55 p.m. Officers responded to East Main Street for a report of a male subject sleeping in a car.

1:24 p.m. A black Jeep was reported as driving recklessly at the 12 mile marker north bound on I-95.

A vehicle was stolen from Sheffield Oil Company, 11033 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, and was spotted by an employee on Henry Lawton Road. Officers responded to Henry Lawton Road and the vehicle was recovered. The incident remains under further investigation.

3:40 p.m. Officers met with a complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to a stolen moped. The incident remains under further investigation.

5:57 p.m. Officers responded to Old South Exterminators, 2995 Bees Creek Road, for an activated alarm.

9:34 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on West Woodlawn to assist EMS with a patient transport.

11:44 p.m. Officers responded to Hargray, 100 South Railroad Avenue, for an activated alarm.

9:23 a.m. Officers responded to Bees Creek Road for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

4:00 p.m. A grey Nissan Altima was reported as driving recklessly at the 14 mile marker north bound on I-95.

February 17

2:49 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speeding violation at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95. The driver of the vehicle, Isiah Knowles, did not have a valid license. Knowles consented to a vehicle search and a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine was located in the vehicle. Knowles was arrested for speeding, no driver's license and possession of cocaine. Knowles was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. A wrecker from rotation towed to the vehicle to their facility.

4:45 p.m. Officers responded to Lovely Hill Baptist Church, 596 South Logan Street, for an activate alarm.

7:19 p.m. Officers responded to 1st Avenue for a suspicious vehicle.

8:04 p.m. Officers responded to Tillman Road for a dog running at large.

9:15 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street for a domestic dispute.

9:33 p.m. Officers responded to Shade Tree Street for a suspicious vehicle.

February 16

12:35 a.m. A white truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 15 mile marker north bound on I-95.

9:20 a.m. Officers attempted to stop a grey Chevrolet Equinox for a speeding violation at the 21 mile marker south bound on I-95. The vehicle sped up in an attempt to elude officers and while doing so, the Equinox almost hit a trooper on a traffic stop at the 17 mile marker south bound. As officers called off the attempt to stop the vehicle, the Equinox left the roadway and crashed. The two occupants were not injured. The South Carolina Highway Patrol took over the scene.

10:06 a.m. Officers responded to the Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a shoplifting incident. Charges are pending positive identification of the suspect.

7:03 p.m. Officers responded to Old House Road for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle and a deer. No injuries were reported.

February 15

12:19 p.m. Officers responded to the EnMarket, 8250 East Main Street, for a report of a male subject panhandling in the parking lot.

7:18 a.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker north bound on I-95 for debris in the roadway.

9:07 a.m. Officers responded to Jackson Hewitt Tax Services, 8176 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

11:56 a.m. Officers responded to McDonald's, 8548 Grahamville Road, for a vehicle collision in the parking lot involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

2:44 p.m. A white utility truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 15 mile marker north bound on I-95.

3:03 p.m. A silver GMC Envoy was reported as driving recklessly at the 27 mile marker south bound on I-95.

4:12 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on North Logan Street in reference to a subject trespassing on the property. The subject was placed on trespass notice for the property.

5:22 p.m. Officers responded to EnMarket, 8250 East Main Street, for a report of a lost wallet.

5:50 p.m. Officers responded to the Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, in reference to a shoplifting incident. A warrant affidavit has been filed charging Romoan Chester with shoplifting.

7:22 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on West Smith Street for a domestic dispute.

8:22 p.m. A green semi was reported as driving recklessly at the 20 mile marker south bound on I-95.

February 14

12:26 a.m. Officers were at the EnMarket Station, 8250 East Main Street, when they encountered a male subject with a handgun showing from his pants. Deo'nte Stevenson was found to be in possession of a stolen handgun and a quantity of marijuana. Stevenson was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful carry of a handgun, possession of a stolen handgun and simple possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

9:32 a.m. Officers responded to the Ridgeland Town Hall, 1 Town Square, for a report of counterfeit U.S. currency being passed for payment of a water bill. The incident remains under further investigation.

12:34 p.m. Officers responded to the Blue Heron Nature Learning Center, 321 Bailey Lane, for a report of two juveniles smoking marijuana on the property. The juveniles later admitted to stealing items from the property. The stolen items were located and returned. The juveniles have been referred to Family Court.

12:57 p.m. Officers met with a complainant at their place of work in reference to threats by telephone.

4:49 p.m. Officers responded to the BP Station, 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, in reference to a lost cell phone.

5:13 p.m. Officers responded to Harvey's, 8205 East Main Street, for a report of a male subject loitering in the parking lot.

3:03 p.m. Officers responded to Grays Highway for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

8:38 p.m. Officers responded to a business on North Jacob Smart Boulevard for a report of three male subjects loitering in the parking lot.

4:52 a.m. Officers responded to DJJ in Columbia to transport a juvenile for Family Court in Hampton County.

3:22 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Sailfish Circle in reference to a stolen electric ATV. The vehicle was located on the same street and returned to the rightful owner. The victim declined to press charges.

3:27 p.m. Officers responded to North Jacob Smart Boulevard for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

4:44 p.m. Lost property was located on the Nature Trail and turned over to officers. The owner of the property is trying to be located.

7:36 p.m. Officers responded to South Green Street for a report of people yelling.

8:11 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Dolphin Drive in reference to a domestic dispute between husband and wife.

8:16 p.m. Officers responded to Car Quest Auto Parts, 11059 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm. Officers returned to the business again at 11:37 p.m. for another activation.

11:41 p.m. Officers responded to Queens Way for a report of loud noises.

1:41 p.m. Officers responded to Kato Bay Road for a dog running in the roadway.

February 4

9:31 a.m. Officers responded to Badcock Furniture, 10213 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

4:58 p.m. Officers responded to the Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a shoplifting incident. David Collins was cited for shoplifting and released. Collins was also placed on trespass notice for the property.

9:31 p.m. A white Hyundai Sonata was reported as driving recklessly at the 21 mile marker south bound on I-95.

February 3

12:23 a.m. Officers engaged in a consensual encounter with a male subject on Church Street. During the encounter officers learned that the subject, Joseph Royal, was on probation and he was subject to a search of his person without probable cause. Officers located a handgun in his waist band during the search. Royal is also listed as a felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm. The handgun was determined to be a handgun that was stolen from a vehicle on 1st Avenue on January 31. Royal was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:23 a.m. Officers responded to Queen's Way for a report of a suspicious person.

2:28 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street for a domestic dispute.

1:26 p.m. Officers responded to Smith's Crossing for a report of an elderly subject walking in the roadway.

2:03 p.m. Officers responded to the Mental Health Center, 1510 Grays Highway, for a report of a client threatening violence.

3:14 p.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

February 1

6:01 a.m. A black SUV was reported as driving recklessly at the 14 mile marker north bound on I-95.

12:47 a.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located at 7:28 a.m. in the Quality Inn parking lot. The incident remains under further investigation.

12:34 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Adams Street for a burglary. The incident remains under further investigation.

12:36 p.m. Officers responded to the 20 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

12:55 p.m. A blue Dodge Caliber was reported as driving recklessly at the 15 mile marker north bound on I-95.

5:13 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Harvey's, 8205 East Main Street, for a report of a male subject panhandling.

9:02 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street for a report of threatening phone calls.

A grey SUV was reported as driving recklessly at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95.
