9:26 a.m. Officers responded to the Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

11:18 a.m. Officers responded to the 17 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

3:59 p.m. Officers responded to Family Dollar, 73 South Green Street, for a hit and run collision in the parking lot. No injuries were reported.

6:54 p.m. A black Toyota Scion was reported as driving recklessly at the 21 mile marker north bound on I-95.

8:58 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Malphrus Street for a report of a female subject being at the residence uninvited. The female subject, Dawn Marie Asher, appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested for disorderly conduct. Asher was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

11:10 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of the Travel Lodge for a report of a vandalism that occurred to a vehicle. The vehicle was shot with a paintball gun at another location.

11:56 p.m. Officers responded to Shade Tree Street for a report of loud music.

12:44 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Adams Street for a report of a male subject trespassing. The male subject was advised to leave the property and he was placed on trespass notice.

4:48 p.m. Officers responded to Wendy's, 8480 Grahamville Road, for a report of a male customer inside the restaurant yelling at a female subject. Stashio Long was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

12:25 p.m. Officers responded to the 20 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving three vehicles. No injuries were reported.

1:43 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on West Wilson Street for an activated alarm.

1:52 p.m. A blue semi was reported as driving recklessly at the 18 mile marker south bound on I-95.

3:37 p.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

4:23 p.m. Officers responded to Coosaw Scenic Drive for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

8:07 p.m. Officers observed a green Honda Civic make a moving violation as it was traveling on McCormack Avenue. Officers detected the odor of alcoholic beverages in the vehicle. A K9 conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. The passenger of the vehicle, Andres Gonzalez Perez, was found to be in a quantity of a white substance that field tested positive for cocaine. Perez was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

9:22 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Wendy's, 8480 Grahamville Road, for a report of a dog running at large. The dog was located and transported to JARM.

10:27 p.m. Officers responded to Shefield's Oil, 11033 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

December 20

9:35 a.m. A silver semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 27 mile marker south bound on I-95.

10:20 a.m. Officers responded to Malphrus Street for a complaint in reference to a dog.

11:55 a.m. A white semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 15 mile marker north bound on I-95.

11:57 a.m. Officers responded to The Cracked Egg, 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, in reference to unauthorized use of a credit card. The incident remains under further investigation.

12:38 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Wendy's, 8480 Grahamville Road, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

3:08 p.m. Officers responded to Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, in reference to two subjects asking for money in the parking lot. The two subjects were placed on trespass notice at the request of Piggly Wiggly management.

4:21 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Oak Ridge South for a 911 hang up call.

5:20 p.m. Officers responded to Lowther Apartments, 10448 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, in reference to a complaint of vehicles parking on the property without permission.

6:56 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Sailfish Circle in reference to a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was located at a residence a short distance away and returned to their residence.

7:51 p.m. A black Cadillac was reported as driving recklessly at the 14 mile marker north bound on I-95.

December 19

3:01 a.m. Two semi trucks were reported as driving recklessly at the 30 mile marker south bound on I-95.

4:16 a.m. Officers observed a Dodge van make a traffic violation as it turned onto East Main Street from the off ramp of I-95. A traffic stop was conducted and officers conducted a free air sniff with a K9. After a K9 alert, a search was conducted and a quantity of suspected marijuana was located. The driver of the vehicle was cited for simple possession of marijuana and released.

5:32 p.m. Officers responded to Advance Auto, 10424 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

6:39 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Adams Street for a domestic dispute.

7:52 a.m. Officers responded to Grays Highway in front of the Ridgeland Town Hall for a vehicle collision involving a passenger car and motorcycle. No injuries were reported.

3:28 p.m. Officers responded to the Jasper County Court House, 265 Russell Street, for a report of a suspicious person.

4:43 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Wilson Street for a domestic dispute.

6:25 p.m. Officers were dispatched to Fiddler's Seafood, 7738 West Main Street, for a report of an intoxicated subject. Officers encountered the subject on North Green Street. The subject, Clinton Green, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Green was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

9:43 p.m. Officers responded to Christ Central, 11754 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a civil dispute involving a room.

12:33 p.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland High School, 250 Jaguar Trail, for a vehicle that hit a pot hole in the parking lot.

3:13 p.m. Officers met with a female complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to harassment.

8:12 a.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Enmarket, 8250 East Main Street, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

8:51 a.m. Officers responded to Classic Cleaners, 8225-A East Main Street, for a report of employee theft. Charges are pending further investigation.

4:16 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Grays Highway and Pine Forest Loop for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. One person was transported by EMS.

7:32 p.m. A white semi was reported as driving recklessly at the 30 mile marker south bound on I-95.

December 16

9:08 a.m. Officers observed a white Hyundai sedan traveling on I-95 south bound in excess of the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted at the 23 mile marker south bound. When officers approached the vehicle, the odor of marijuana was smelled emitting from the vehicle. A quantity of marijuana was located within the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was released after receiving two citations.

12:17 p.m. Officers responded to Boat N RV World, 401 Sycamore Drive, for a report that a person may be living in a camper on the business property.

9:29 p.m. Officers responded to Sailfish Circle for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

12:19 p.m. Officers responded to Three Tee Circle for a report of a dog running at large.

1:08 p.m. Officers responded to Travel Lodge, 8216 East Main Street, for a report of a subject throwing baby powder on items in their room.

4:08 p.m. Officers responded to 1st Avenue for a report of a suspicious male on a bicycle.

6:01 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

7:36 a.m. A white BMW was reported as driving recklessly on Low Country Drive.

10:17 a.m. A silver Honda Accord was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

12:10 p.m. Officers responded to Fiddler's Fish Market, 572 South Green Street, for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. The vehicle struck a flower pot. No injuries were reported.

1:10 p.m. A white Ford Focus was reported as driving recklessly at the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95.

2:07 p.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

2:39 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Smith's Crossing Road and Ellis Hodges Road for a motorist assist.

4:16 p.m. Officers responded to the Jasper County Government Building, 358 3rd Avenue, for a suspicious vehicle.

4:52 p.m. Officers responded to North Logan Street for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. One person was transported by EMS.

6:10 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Captain Bill Road and North Jacob Smart Boulevard for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

6:49 p.m. Officers responded to the 23 mile marker north bound for a motorist assist.

8:06 p.m. Officers responded to North Logan Street for a hit and run collision. A vehicle struck a fence in a yard and left the scene.

December 12

9:02 a.m. Officers responded to Wendy's, 8480 Grahamville Road, in reference to two employees getting into a physical altercation. No charges were filed at the request of the victim.

11:26 a.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland Physical Therapy, 8225 East Main Street, in reference to trash being dumped in their privately owned dumpster.

12:50 p.m. A white semi pulling a covered trailer was reported as driving recklessly at the 6 mile marker north bound on I-95.

3:05 p.m. Officers were patrolling the parking lot of Palms Motel and observed two males sitting in a parked vehicle. The males acted suspiciously at the presence of the marked patrol vehicle and officers approached the vehicle for an encounter. The passenger in the vehicle stated to officers that he had a quantity of marijuana under his seat and handed the package to officers. The male subject was charged with simple possession of marijuana and released with a court date.

4:01 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Grays Highway for a 911 hang up call.

5:10 p.m. Officers responded to Burger King, 8257 East Main Street, for a recently terminated employee that would not leave the property. The former employee was escorted off the property at the request of the manager.

5:55 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on North Logan Street in reference to items being stolen from a vehicle. The incident remains under further investigation.

6:35 p.m. Officers responded to Badcock Furniture, 10213 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

8:22 p.m. Officers responded to Waffle House, 8185 East Main Street, for a report of a male and female subject arguing in the parking lot.

10:14 p.m. A personal care ambulance was reported as driving recklessly on Low Country Drive as it headed towards Ridgeland.

December 11

12:22 a.m. Officers responded to Wendy's, 8480 Grahamville Road, for a motorist assist.

6:26 a.m. Officers responded to Coin Laundry, 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a suspicious male in the restroom.

9:49 a.m. Officers observed a black SUV traveling above the posted speed limit at the 23 mile marker north bound on I-95. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle handed officers a counterfeit driver's license. The driver was ultimately identified as Anthony Cousins. Cousins was arrested for speeding, providing false information to a police officer and no driver's license. Cousins was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center and his vehicle was towed by a wrecker from rotation to their facility.

12:10 p.m. Officers met with a complainant at the Police Department in reference to harassment that occurred at the Post Office.

2:52 p.m. Officers responded to Harvey's, 8205 East Main Street, for a report of a stolen credit card. An unidentified female is seen taking possession of the card and using it while in the store. The incident remains under further investigation.

5:38 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

6:00 p.m. Officers responded to Short Stop BP, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a female harassing people in the parking lot.

7:13 p.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of a male subject harassing people in the parking lot.

10:24 p.m. Officers responded to Ken's Tires, 10464 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of noises being heard inside the building. Officers cleared the building.

December 10

9:19 a.m. Officers observed an abandoned vehicle on South Jacob Smart Boulevard that had been in place for more than seven days. A wrecker service from rotation was called and the vehicle was towed to their facility.

10:33 a.m. Officers responded to the Boy's and Girl's Club, 456 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

5:49 p.m. Officers responded to the area of the 16 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

7:28 p.m. Officers responded to Shortstop BP, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a female asking customers for money.

8:10 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on South Green Street for an activated alarm.

December 9

12:29 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Grahamville Road and Henry Lawton Road for a report of a male subject that was bleeding from his hand. Officers discovered that the male was involved in a domestic dispute that took place at a residence out of the city limits of Ridgeland. The Jasper County Sheriff's Office was notified of the incident.

6:24 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Ward Court for an activated alarm.

7:54 a.m. Officers responded to the Star Point BP Station, 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

2:06 p.m. Officers responded to Carolina Lodge, 8260 East Main Street, for a welfare check on children that were reported to be staying at that location.

5:39 p.m. A black Honda was reported to be driving recklessly on Bee's Creek Road.

December 8

12:51 a.m. A silver Toyota Camry was reported as driving recklessly at the 33 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:48 a.m. Officers responded to Captain Bill Road for a motorist assist.

6:02 a.m. A white semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

9:22 a.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

12:03 p.m. A beige Ford Crown Victoria was reported as driving recklessly at the 34 mile marker south bound on I-95.

12:34 p.m. Officers responded to Jasper's Porch, 153 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of a trespasser on the property. Officers located a male subject on the property and that subject was placed on trespass notice.

1:20 p.m. A white semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95.

1:56 p.m. Officers responded to Ralph Tuten Park on James L. Taylor Drive in reference to a male subject wishing to harm himself. The male subject was transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center for further evaluation.

2:26 p.m. Officers responded to EnMarket, 8250 East Main Street, for a report of an armed robbery. As officers were responding to this incident, another call came out for an armed robbery at the Shell Station. Both calls had a similar suspect and similar vehicle leaving the scene. Officers issued a BOLO, be on the look out, to the Hardeeville Police Department and the Jasper County Sheriff's Office for a white Honda Accord. Hardeeville Police Department spotted the vehicle in their jurisdiction and gave chase until the vehicle was lost. The vehicle was later found to be abandoned and search was conducted of the area. Officers with the Hardeeville Police Department, Jasper County Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources were able to track down the suspect. Luis Zacarias Medina Lebron was arrested for two counts of armed robbery. He was later transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

6:20 p.m. Officers responded to Coastal Carolina Medical Center and transported a male subject to Charleston for further mental evaluations.

December 7

1:26 a.m. Officers responded to Logan Lane Apartments, 544 South Logan Street, for a domestic. No charges were filed in this incident.

5:50 a.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

8:58 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Colony Drive for an activated alarm.

10:07 a.m. A grey Audi sedan was reported as driving recklessly at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95.

10:11 a.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker south bound for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

11:50 a.m. Officers responded to Carolina Lodge, 8260 East Main Street, for a welfare check on a male subject.

12:28 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a report of a chair coming out a vehicle and striking another vehicle.

2:51 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Wilson Street and North Jacob Smart Boulevard for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

3:39 p.m. Officers responded to the Beaufort County Detention Center to pick up Antwan Bryon Lesesene. Lesesene had an outstanding warrant with the Ridgeland Police Department stemming from an incident that occurred on October 18, 2018. Lesesene was charged with Domestic Violence, 2nd Degree.

6:25 p.m. Officers responded to Badcock Furniture, 10213 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

6:30 p.m. Officers observed a Ford Explorer traveling above the posted speed limit at the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95. A traffic stop was conducted and shortly afterwards, a K9 performed a free air sniff around the vehicle. The K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics and a probable cause search was conducted. A quantity of marijuana was located within the vehicle. The passenger of the vehicle, Linwood Carver Johnson, Jr., claimed ownership of the marijuana. Johnson was issued a citation and released.

7:32 p.m. Officers responded to Burger King, 8257 East Main Street, for a report of an assault and battery. An employee stated to officers that he went outside of the business and was approached by three male subjects. The three male subjects reportedly used closed fists and feet to strike the victim. The incident is under further investigation.

10:55 p.m. A green Lincoln Navigator was reported as driving recklessly on North Green Street.

December 6

7:21 a.m. Officers responded to Main Street Centre, 8084 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

2:33 p.m. A black Kia was reported as driving recklessly at the 27 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:46 p.m. Officers responded to Shade Tree Street for a welfare check in reference to a student who did not attend school.

5:26 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Wiley Street for an activated alarm.

6:59 p.m. A black SUV was reported as driving recklessly at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95.

7:00 p.m. Officers responded to Shade Tree Street for a report of a pig running at large.

9:37 p.m. Officers responded to Pizza Bella, 8196 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

December 5

3:54 a.m. Officers responded to the 23 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

11:16 a.m. Officers responded to the 19 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a report of a male subject walking on the interstate.

3:34 p.m. Officers observed a black Infiniti traveling faster than the posted speed limit on South Jacob Smart Boulevard. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle, Ronald Shermer, stated he did not have valid insurance coverage on the vehicle. Officers also observed several white rock items on the rear seat of the vehicle. Those items field tested positive for cocaine base. Shermer was arrested for possession of crack cocaine and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. A wrecker from rotation towed the vehicle to their facility.

7:27 p.m. Officers responded to Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, for a report of a female asking customers for money.

9:15 p.m. Officers responded to the 19 mile marker south bound for a motorist assist.

December 4

12:39 a.m. Officers were conducting property checks on the grounds of the Travel Lodge, 8216 East Main Street, when they encountered a vehicle with two males sitting in it. A third male later approached the vehicle and sat in the front passenger seat. Officers conducted a mutual conversation with them and learned that one of the passengers, Ashley Lowther, had an outstanding warrant with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office. A free air sniff of the vehicle was conducted by a Ridgeland PD K9. The K9 indicated the odor of narcotics. Another passenger in the vehicle, Matthew Jordan Black, was found to be in possession of a quantity of a substance believed to be crack cocaine. Black was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

4:54 a.m. Officers responded to Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

11:16 a.m. Officers met with two complainants on the corner of Smith's Crossing and South Jacob Smart Boulevard. The complainants stated that as they were leaving Wood Ridge Apartments, 414 South Logan Street, in their vehicle, a male subject they knew by name fired shots at them with a handgun. Evidence was collected at this scene and officers learned that the subject firing the weapon was Matthew Bolden. Warrants were obtained for Bolden charging him with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Bolden later turned himself into the Ridgeland Police Department. Bolden was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:13 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

1:50 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of McDonald's, 8548 Grahamville Road, for a report of two dogs running at large.

4:12 p.m. Officers responded to Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of suspicious phone calls coming into the office.

6:40 p.m. Officers responded to Nuna Rock Road for a report of a suspicious male walking in the roadway.

7:13 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Augusta Avenue for a 911 hang up call.

9:18 p.m. Officers observed a white passenger car traveling on I-95 in excess of the posted speed limit. When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle accelerated in an attempt to elude officers. Officers pursued the vehicle until the Colleton County line. The vehicle continued to drive at high speeds and was later stopped by Colleton County deputies using a tire deflation device. The incident remains under investigation.

10:46 p.m. Officers responded to Tillman Road for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle and a deer. No injuries were reported.

December 3

4:09 a.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

6:40 a.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving a semi truck. No injuries were reported.

8:03 a.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker south bound for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

8:26 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

December 2

1:09 a.m. Officers responded to Aussie Auto Body for an activated alarm. Officers returned for another activation of the alarm at 2:27 a.m.

7:52 a.m. Officers responded to Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, for a suspicious vehicle.

11:00 a.m. Officers responded to Heron Crossing Apartments, 72 Heron Crossing Road, and met with a complainant at the office. The complainant stated that their vehicle was broken into during the night and cash and an electronic device was stolen. The incident remains under further investigation.

11:32 a.m. Officers responded to the 24 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

11:34 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Adams Street for an activated alarm.

11:46 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Wise Street for an activated alarm.

12:19 p.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

1:39 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

December 1

3:24 a.m. Officers responded to North Jacob Smart Boulevard for a motorist assist.

5:23 a.m. Officers responded to Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

9:28 a.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland First Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

11:13 a.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

2:08 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

2:51 p.m. A silver Infiniti was reported as driving recklessly at the 31 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:54 p.m. Officers responded to West Main Street for a suspicious vehicle near the Farmer's Market.

6:51 p.m. Officers met with a complainant at the BP Station, 80 Blue Heron Drive, for an assault that occurred at another location on East Main Street. The incident remains under further investigation.
