December 10

9:19 a.m. Officers observed an abandoned vehicle on South Jacob Smart Boulevard that had been in place for more than seven days. A wrecker service from rotation was called and the vehicle was towed to their facility.

10:33 a.m. Officers responded to the Boy's and Girl's Club, 456 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

5:49 p.m. Officers responded to the area of the 16 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

7:28 p.m. Officers responded to Shortstop BP, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a female asking customers for money.

8:10 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on South Green Street for an activated alarm.

December 9

12:29 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Grahamville Road and Henry Lawton Road for a report of a male subject that was bleeding from his hand. Officers discovered that the male was involved in a domestic dispute that took place at a residence out of the city limits of Ridgeland. The Jasper County Sheriff's Office was notified of the incident.

6:24 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Ward Court for an activated alarm.

7:54 a.m. Officers responded to the Star Point BP Station, 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

2:06 p.m. Officers responded to Carolina Lodge, 8260 East Main Street, for a welfare check on children that were reported to be staying at that location.

5:39 p.m. A black Honda was reported to be driving recklessly on Bee's Creek Road.

December 8

12:51 a.m. A silver Toyota Camry was reported as driving recklessly at the 33 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:48 a.m. Officers responded to Captain Bill Road for a motorist assist.

6:02 a.m. A white semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

9:22 a.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

12:03 p.m. A beige Ford Crown Victoria was reported as driving recklessly at the 34 mile marker south bound on I-95.

12:34 p.m. Officers responded to Jasper's Porch, 153 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of a trespasser on the property. Officers located a male subject on the property and that subject was placed on trespass notice.

1:20 p.m. A white semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95.

1:56 p.m. Officers responded to Ralph Tuten Park on James L. Taylor Drive in reference to a male subject wishing to harm himself. The male subject was transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center for further evaluation.

2:26 p.m. Officers responded to EnMarket, 8250 East Main Street, for a report of an armed robbery. As officers were responding to this incident, another call came out for an armed robbery at the Shell Station. Both calls had a similar suspect and similar vehicle leaving the scene. Officers issued a BOLO, be on the look out, to the Hardeeville Police Department and the Jasper County Sheriff's Office for a white Honda Accord. Hardeeville Police Department spotted the vehicle in their jurisdiction and gave chase until the vehicle was lost. The vehicle was later found to be abandoned and search was conducted of the area. Officers with the Hardeeville Police Department, Jasper County Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources were able to track down the suspect. Luis Zacarias Medina Lebron was arrested for two counts of armed robbery. He was later transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

6:20 p.m. Officers responded to Coastal Carolina Medical Center and transported a male subject to Charleston for further mental evaluations.

December 7

1:26 a.m. Officers responded to Logan Lane Apartments, 544 South Logan Street, for a domestic. No charges were filed in this incident.

5:50 a.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

8:58 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Colony Drive for an activated alarm.

10:07 a.m. A grey Audi sedan was reported as driving recklessly at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95.

10:11 a.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker south bound for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

11:50 a.m. Officers responded to Carolina Lodge, 8260 East Main Street, for a welfare check on a male subject.

12:28 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a report of a chair coming out a vehicle and striking another vehicle.

2:51 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Wilson Street and North Jacob Smart Boulevard for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

3:39 p.m. Officers responded to the Beaufort County Detention Center to pick up Antwan Bryon Lesesene. Lesesene had an outstanding warrant with the Ridgeland Police Department stemming from an incident that occurred on October 18, 2018. Lesesene was charged with Domestic Violence, 2nd Degree.

6:25 p.m. Officers responded to Badcock Furniture, 10213 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

6:30 p.m. Officers observed a Ford Explorer traveling above the posted speed limit at the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95. A traffic stop was conducted and shortly afterwards, a K9 performed a free air sniff around the vehicle. The K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics and a probable cause search was conducted. A quantity of marijuana was located within the vehicle. The passenger of the vehicle, Linwood Carver Johnson, Jr., claimed ownership of the marijuana. Johnson was issued a citation and released.

7:32 p.m. Officers responded to Burger King, 8257 East Main Street, for a report of an assault and battery. An employee stated to officers that he went outside of the business and was approached by three male subjects. The three male subjects reportedly used closed fists and feet to strike the victim. The incident is under further investigation.

10:55 p.m. A green Lincoln Navigator was reported as driving recklessly on North Green Street.

December 6

7:21 a.m. Officers responded to Main Street Centre, 8084 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

2:33 p.m. A black Kia was reported as driving recklessly at the 27 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:46 p.m. Officers responded to Shade Tree Street for a welfare check in reference to a student who did not attend school.

5:26 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Wiley Street for an activated alarm.

6:59 p.m. A black SUV was reported as driving recklessly at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95.

7:00 p.m. Officers responded to Shade Tree Street for a report of a pig running at large.

9:37 p.m. Officers responded to Pizza Bella, 8196 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

December 5

3:54 a.m. Officers responded to the 23 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

11:16 a.m. Officers responded to the 19 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a report of a male subject walking on the interstate.

3:34 p.m. Officers observed a black Infiniti traveling faster than the posted speed limit on South Jacob Smart Boulevard. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle, Ronald Shermer, stated he did not have valid insurance coverage on the vehicle. Officers also observed several white rock items on the rear seat of the vehicle. Those items field tested positive for cocaine base. Shermer was arrested for possession of crack cocaine and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. A wrecker from rotation towed the vehicle to their facility.

7:27 p.m. Officers responded to Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, for a report of a female asking customers for money.

9:15 p.m. Officers responded to the 19 mile marker south bound for a motorist assist.

December 4

12:39 a.m. Officers were conducting property checks on the grounds of the Travel Lodge, 8216 East Main Street, when they encountered a vehicle with two males sitting in it. A third male later approached the vehicle and sat in the front passenger seat. Officers conducted a mutual conversation with them and learned that one of the passengers, Ashley Lowther, had an outstanding warrant with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office. A free air sniff of the vehicle was conducted by a Ridgeland PD K9. The K9 indicated the odor of narcotics. Another passenger in the vehicle, Matthew Jordan Black, was found to be in possession of a quantity of a substance believed to be crack cocaine. Black was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

4:54 a.m. Officers responded to Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

11:16 a.m. Officers met with two complainants on the corner of Smith's Crossing and South Jacob Smart Boulevard. The complainants stated that as they were leaving Wood Ridge Apartments, 414 South Logan Street, in their vehicle, a male subject they knew by name fired shots at them with a handgun. Evidence was collected at this scene and officers learned that the subject firing the weapon was Matthew Bolden. Warrants were obtained for Bolden charging him with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Bolden later turned himself into the Ridgeland Police Department. Bolden was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:13 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

1:50 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of McDonald's, 8548 Grahamville Road, for a report of two dogs running at large.

4:12 p.m. Officers responded to Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of suspicious phone calls coming into the office.

6:40 p.m. Officers responded to Nuna Rock Road for a report of a suspicious male walking in the roadway.

7:13 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Augusta Avenue for a 911 hang up call.

9:18 p.m. Officers observed a white passenger car traveling on I-95 in excess of the posted speed limit. When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle accelerated in an attempt to elude officers. Officers pursued the vehicle until the Colleton County line. The vehicle continued to drive at high speeds and was later stopped by Colleton County deputies using a tire deflation device. The incident remains under investigation.

10:46 p.m. Officers responded to Tillman Road for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle and a deer. No injuries were reported.

December 3

4:09 a.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

6:40 a.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving a semi truck. No injuries were reported.

8:03 a.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker south bound for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

8:26 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

December 2

1:09 a.m. Officers responded to Aussie Auto Body for an activated alarm. Officers returned for another activation of the alarm at 2:27 a.m.

7:52 a.m. Officers responded to Dollar General, 8123 East Main Street, for a suspicious vehicle.

11:00 a.m. Officers responded to Heron Crossing Apartments, 72 Heron Crossing Road, and met with a complainant at the office. The complainant stated that their vehicle was broken into during the night and cash and an electronic device was stolen. The incident remains under further investigation.

11:32 a.m. Officers responded to the 24 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

11:34 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Adams Street for an activated alarm.

11:46 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Wise Street for an activated alarm.

12:19 p.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

1:39 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

December 1

3:24 a.m. Officers responded to North Jacob Smart Boulevard for a motorist assist.

5:23 a.m. Officers responded to Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

9:28 a.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland First Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

11:13 a.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

2:08 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

2:51 p.m. A silver Infiniti was reported as driving recklessly at the 31 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:54 p.m. Officers responded to West Main Street for a suspicious vehicle near the Farmer's Market.

6:51 p.m. Officers met with a complainant at the BP Station, 80 Blue Heron Drive, for an assault that occurred at another location on East Main Street. The incident remains under further investigation.
