4:49 a.m. Officers responded to Carolina Lodge, 8260 East Main Street, for a report of two subjects trespassing in a room. The subjects were located on the property and they both were placed on trespass notice at the request of the business owner.

6:25 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Jacob Smart Boulevard and Main Street for a motorist assist.

8:13 a.m. Officers responded to the Magistrate's Office, 967 West Adams Street, for an activated alarm.

10:24 a.m. A white Mitsubishi SUV was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

11:49 a.m. Officers responded to Main Street in front of the Post Office for a vehicle collision. A yellow semi was supposed to have struck a passenger vehicle and left the scene. The incident remains under investigation.

12:41 p.m. Officers responded to East Main Street for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

1:45 p.m. A blue Chevrolet Trailblazer was reported as driving recklessly at the 18 mile marker south bound on I-95.

3:25 p.m. Officers met a complainant at the Police Department in reference to a generator being stolen from the Hargray office, 100 North Railroad Avenue. The incident remains under further investigation.

3:35 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on 5th Avenue for a report of a breach of trust vehicle. The complainant stated to officers that a roommate took the vehicle and has not returned it yet.

4:25 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection East Main Street and Sycamore Drive for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

6:22 p.m. A silver Chevrolet Avalanche was reported as driving recklessly at the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95.

9:22 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Sailfish Street and Wood Duck Street. The driver of the vehicle, Shane Jermaine Barrow, was arrested for disregarding a stop sign, driving under suspension and no proof of insurance. Barrow was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

12:38 a.m. Officers assisted the South Carolina Highway Patrol with a vehicle collision at the 25 mile marker north bound on I-95.

3:24 a.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

4:05 a.m. A tan BMW was reported as driving recklessly at the 12 mile marker north bound on I-95.

7:34 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of North Green Street and 3rd avenue for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

8:42 a.m. Officers responded to O'Reilly Auto Parts, 11058 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of counterfeit money. The incident remains under further investigation.

4:23 p.m. Officers responded to Family Dollar, 73 South Green Street, for a report of an assault. The victim in this incident declined to pursue charges.

7:27 p.m. Officers responded to the Jasper County Detention Center, 12008 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of an inmate causing damage inside of the facility. Inmate Javonni McKinney was charged with malicious injury to property.

8:18 p.m. A blue semi pulling a tan trailer was reported as driving recklessly at the 30 mile marker south bound on I-95.

9:32 p.m. Officers responded to the area of The Outpost, 10545 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of people walking around closed businesses.

11:44 a.m. A black Ford truck pulling a camper was reported as driving recklessly at the 31 mile marker south bound on I-95.

12:13 p.m. Officers met a complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department who stated that a customer came to the Shell Station, 8309 East Main Street, to cash a payroll check. The check was cashed by the business but was later returned by the bank because the check was discovered to be electronically deposited. The incident remains under further investigation.

1:05 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of West Main Street and North Railroad Avenue for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. One person was transported by EMS.

1:36 a.m. Officers responded to Logan Lane Apartments, 544 South Logan Street, for a report of harassment.

2:08 p.m. Officers responded to the Palms, 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of people loitering in the parking lot.

7:13 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Grahamville Road and Henry Lawton Road for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

8:01 p.m. Officers assisted the Ridgeland Fire Department with a fire on 1st Avenue.

11:09 p.m. Officers responded to Old House Road for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

August 20

10:59 a.m. Officers responded to the Boy's and Girl's Club, 456 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

11:51 a.m. Officers responded to Harvey's, 8205 East Main Street, for a report of a stolen cell phone. The cell phone was later located inside of a vehicle on East Wilson Street. The phone was returned to the owner and they declined to prosecute.

12:25 p.m. Officers responded to the 17 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

2:42 p.m. Officers responded to Bee's Creek Road for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

2:43 p.m. A grey Honda CR-V was reported as driving recklessly at the 33 mile marker south bound on I-95.

3:10 p.m. Officers responded to the Boy's and Girl's Club, 456 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

6:09 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Sailfish Circle in reference to a missing juvenile. The juvenile was reported as being dropped off at school but never returned. The child returned shortly afterwards and reported that they got on the wrong bus after school.

6:47 p.m. Officers responded to Harvey's, 8205 East Main Street, for a report of an employee being threatened by a customer.

7:31 p.m. Officers responded to the Boy's and Girl's Club, 456 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

August 19

1:04 a.m. Officers responded to Dolphin Drive for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

1:30 a.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Rite-Aid, 8225 East Main Street, for a report of a suspicious person.

1:51 a.m. Officers observed a male subject operating a vehicle on Main Street. Offices had prior knowledge that the subject did not have a valid driver's license. The vehicle was stopped and officers quickly determined that the front seat passenger was intoxicated and had open containers of alcohol in their possession. The passenger, Michael Rivers, was arrested for public disorderly conduct and open container. Rivers was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

8:17 a.m. Officers responded to Fordville Road for a report of loud noises.

1:50 p.m. Officers responded to Correctional Road for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

3:32 p.m. A white Jeep Wrangler was reported as driving recklessly at the 38 mile marker south bound on I-95.

3:37 p.m. Officers received a Be On the Look Out for a grey Toyota Camry that was involved in a hit and run collision at the 14 mile marker north bound on I-95.

3:57 p.m. Officers responded to Ridgeland Baptist Church, 1448 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

4:18 p.m. Officers responded to South State Bank, 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

1:01 p.m. Officers traveled to Darlington County Detention Center to pick up Benjamin Boone on an outstanding arrest warrant. Boone was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center and awaits a bond hearing for the charge of receiving stolen goods.

1:55 p.m. A white semi truck pulling a flat bed trailer was reported as driving recklessly at the 21 mile marker south bound on I-95.

4:11 p.m. Investigators were able to obtain an arrest warrant in the earlier burglary of Shine Town and located the suspect, Michael Thomas Byrd. Byrd was arrested for Burglary 2nd degree and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:27 p.m. Officers received information from the Yemassee Police Department in reference to stolen checks that were cashed at a business in Ridgeland. After an investigation, officers were able to determine that Courtney Lane and Jesse Altman forged signatures on the checks prior to cashing them in Ridgeland. Warrant affidavits have been filed for forgery.

2:17 p.m. Officers met a complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to missing jewelry.

3:36 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

4:03 p.m. Officers responded to Honey Comb Lane in reference to two suspicious males.

2:24 a.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Wendy's, 8480 Grahamville Road, for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

4:10 a.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Subway, 8234 East Main Street, to assist EMS with a patient transport.

7:06 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Wise Street for an activated alarm.

7:39 a.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

11:38 a.m. Officers responded to KFC, 8146 East Main Street, for a report of a counterfeit twenty dollar bill. The incident remains under further investigation.

12:38 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Family Dollar, 73 South Green Street, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

2:23 p.m. A burgundy semi truck pulling a flat bed trailer was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:44 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Woodlawn Street for a report of stray cats coming into the yard.

7:25 p.m. Officers responded to Logan Lane Apartments, 544 South Logan Street, for a suspicious vehicle.

8:52 p.m. A white Chevrolet Tahoe was reported as driving recklessly at the 31 mile marker south bound on I-95.

10:36 p.m. Officers responded to Plantation Inn, 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a stolen cell phone. The phone was later returned and the victim decline to prosecute the incident.

August 3

2:34 a.m. Officers responded to Turpin Park, 901 North Logan Street, for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

10:24 a.m. A Chevrolet Tahoe was stopped on Smith's Crossing for a vehicle license violation. The driver of the vehicle was unable to produce proof of valid insurance and did not have a valid driver's license. The driver of the vehicle, Daniel Villanueva, was cited for the violations and he was allowed to leave the scene with a friend. The vehicle was towed by a wrecker from rotation to their facility.

12:27 p.m. Officers conducted a welfare check at a residence on Colony Drive at the request of the homeowner.

12:34 p.m. A silver Ford sedan was reported as driving recklessly at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95.

1:46 p.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of a trespasser on the property. Officers located Clinton Green, who was previously placed on trespass notice, on the property. Green was arrested for trespass after notice and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

4:01 p.m. Officers responded to Palms Motel, 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, to assist EMS with a call.

4:27 p.m. Officers responded to South State Bank, 10671 South State Bank, for an activated alarm.

4:38 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Brandon Cove for an activated alarm.

4:56 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street to assist EMS.

5:14 p.m. Officers responded to Star Point BP, 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

6:40 p.m. A blue semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 30 mile marker south bound on I-95.

6:56 p.m. Officers responded to Exit 21 for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

9:47 p.m. Officers responded to Bank of Walterboro, 8058 East Main Street, for a motorist assist.

9:58 p.m. A blue Chevrolet truck was stopped on South Jacob Smart Boulevard for a traffic violation. Officers detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search. A quantity of marijuana was located within the vehicle and the driver, Jerod Bittner, was arrested. Bittner was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

11:36 p.m. Officers responded to North Jacob Smart Boulevard in front of the Jasper County Sheriff's Office for a motorist assist.

August 2

12:17 a.m. Ridgeland officers assisted the Jasper County Sheriff's Office with a domestic dispute on Bees Creek Road.

10:54 a.m. A blue Toyota Camry was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

11:41 a.m. A red Toyota Prius was reported as driving recklessly at the 27 mile marker south bound on I-95.

12:06 p.m. A gray Hyundai sedan was reported as driving recklessly at the 8 mile marker north bound on I-95.

12:54 p.m. Officers responded to Glover Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

5:10 p.m. A gray semi pulling a silver trailer was reported as driving recklessly at the 16 mile marker north bound on I-95.

5:14 p.m. Officers responded to Oak Ridge Mobile Home Park for a report of an assault. The incident is under further investigation.

8:08 p.m. Officers responded to Kingdom Touch Ministries, 6714 Tillman Road, for an activated alarm.
