9:38 a.m. Officers transported a patient to Coastal Carolina Medical Center for a mental evaluation.

10:24 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Brandon Cove for a report of suspicious text messages.

12:17 p.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

2:24 p.m. Officers responded to the 20 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a report of a vehicle getting a cracked windshield caused by flying debris.

4:13 p.m. Officers responded to the 19 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

4:17 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Rite-Aid, 8225 East Main Street, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

5:10 p.m. Officers located Darick McPherson, Jr. on Shade Tree Street and arrested him for an outstanding warrant from another agency. McPherson was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

9:56 p.m. Officers responded to the Carolina Lodge, 8260 East Main Street, for a report of three people trespassing on the property.

11:11 p.m. Officers responded to the Jasper County Court House, 265 Russell Street, for an activated alarm.

11:46 p.m. Officers assisted EMS with a medical call at Waffle House, 8185 East Main Street.

1:13 a.m. Officers responded to the Farmer's Market, 9935 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of loud music.

4:26 a.m. Officers responded to Harvey's, 8205 East Main Street, for an activated alarm.

10:31 a.m. Officers responded to Short Stop, 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a larceny. Officers were able to determine that the incident occurred on Great Swamp Road and notified the Jasper County Sheriff's Office.

11:47 a.m. Officers responded to the 19 mile marker north bound for a motorist assist.

1:21 p.m. Officers responded to exit 22 north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

1:43 p.m. Officers assisted the Jasper County Sheriff's Office with a report of a child falling in a swimming pool on Carter's Mill Road.

2:13 p.m. An orange Hyundai Sonata was reported as driving recklessly at the 15 mile marker north bound on I-95.

5:38 p.m. Officers responded to The Morris Center, 10782 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

5:54 p.m. A grey Chevrolet Tahoe was reported as driving recklessly at the 14 mile marker north bound on I-95.

9:59 a.m. A silver semi truck pulling a silver trailer was reported as driving recklessly at the 8 mile marker north bound on I-95.

10:58 a.m. Officers responded to Plantation Inn, 11433 North Jacob Smart, for a report of a person not wanting to leave after check out time.

1:41 p.m. Officers responded to Carolina Lodge, 8260 East Main Street, for a domestic dispute.

6:10 a.m. A silver Ford Focus was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

7:21 a.m. Officers responded to Old House Road for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

9:07 a.m. Officers responded to Turpin Park, 901 North Logan Street, for a report of a suspicious person.

11:03 a.m. Officers responded to the 20 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

11:49 a.m. Officers transported a subject to the Coastal Carolina Medical Center for a mental evaluation.

7:49 a.m. Officers responded to Ken's Tires, 10464 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, for an activated alarm.

8:37 a.m. Officers responded to the Boy's and Girl's Club, 456 Grays Highway, for an activated alarm.

10:14 a.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a report of two vehicles striking tire debris in the roadway.

2:58 p.m. Officers responded to Plantation Inn, 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a suspicious person.

3:00 p.m. Officers responded to Turpin Park, 901 North Logan Street, for a report of a suspicious person.

4:11 p.m. Investigators were able to obtain an arrest warrant in the earlier burglary of Shine Town and located the suspect, Michael Thomas Byrd. Byrd was arrested for Burglary 2nd degree and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

4:52 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Smith's Crossing and South Jacob Smart Boulevard for a report of a suspicious person.

5:15 p.m. Officers responded to the 21 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a report of debris in the roadway.

5:33 p.m. Officers responded to Exxon, 8310 East Main Street, for a report of a suspicious person.

6:38 p.m. Officers assisted the Jasper County Sheriff's Office with a 911 hang up call at a residence on South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

10:57 p.m. Officers responded to Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of a suspicious person.

11:43 p.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of a vehicle blocking the entrance.

August 7

12:37 a.m. Officers responded to the 23 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

7:26 a.m. Officers responded to Kingdom Touch Ministries, 6714 Tillman Road, for an activated alarm.

10:39 a.m. Officers responded to The Jaded Curve, 7794 West Main Street, for an activated alarm.

4:32 p.m. Officers responded to Econo Lodge, 511 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of a suspicious person. Officers arrived and found the subject in a room at the property. The subject was deceased. The incident remains under further investigation.

5:09 p.m. Officers responded to 10688 South Jacob Smart Boulevard for an activated alarm.

7:20 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Tillman Road and Tarboro Road to assist an officer with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.

8:06 p.m. Officers responded to North Green Street for a report of three people arguing in the roadway.

5:44 a.m. Officers responded to Grayco, 119 East Industrial Park Road, for an activated alarm.

8:01 a.m. Officers responded to Econo Lodge, 511 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of a suspicious person.

10:04 a.m. Officers responded to Old House Road for a motorist assist.

11:26 a.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of an open door to an apartment.

11:51 a.m. Officers responded to the Jasper County Government Building, 358 3rd Avenue, for a report of a female subject that was upset over a family court hearing.

1:18 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Woodlawn Street for a report of stray cats on the property.

1:19 p.m. A black BMW was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

1:27 p.m. Officers received information from the Yemassee Police Department in reference to stolen checks that were cashed at a business in Ridgeland. After an investigation, officers were able to determine that Courtney Lane and Jesse Altman forged signatures on the checks prior to cashing them in Ridgeland. Warrant affidavits have been filed for forgery.

2:17 p.m. Officers met a complainant at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to missing jewelry.

3:36 p.m. Officers responded to the 22 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

4:03 p.m. Officers responded to Honey Comb Lane in reference to two suspicious males.

4:31 p.m. Officers responded to Piggly Wiggly, 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a female subject trespassing on the property.

11:58 p.m. Officers responded to Quality Inn, 221 James L. Taylor Drive, for a report of a suspicious male subject on the property.

3:57 a.m. Officers assisted the Jasper County Sheriff's Office on Bees Creek Road with a suspicious person call.

11:45 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of North Green Street and West Smith Street for a report of a semi truck blocking the intersection.

12:22 p.m. Officers responded to the Ridgeland Fire Department, 49 South Railroad Avenue, to assist with a patient transport.

2:05 p.m. Officers responded to the 17 mile marker south bound on I-95 for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

4:00 p.m. Officers responded to Blue Heron Drive for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. One person was transported by EMS.

5:35 p.m. Officers responded to Citgo, 107 Sycamore Drive, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

6:17 p.m. A blue Toyota sedan was reported as driving recklessly at the 17 mile marker south bound on I-95.

7:36 p.m. A gray Audi sedan was reported s driving recklessly at the 17 mile marker north bound on I-95.

8:06 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Grays Highway for a 911 hang up call.

8:07 p.m. Officers responded to Plantation Inn, 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a damaged window in a room that occurred while the tenant was away.

9:33 p.m. A black semi pulling a car trailer was reported as driving recklessly at the 33 mile marker south bound on I-95.

August 4

2:24 a.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Wendy's, 8480 Grahamville Road, for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

4:10 a.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Subway, 8234 East Main Street, to assist EMS with a patient transport.

7:06 a.m. Officers responded to a residence on Wise Street for an activated alarm.

7:39 a.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker north bound on I-95 for a motorist assist.

11:38 a.m. Officers responded to KFC, 8146 East Main Street, for a report of a counterfeit twenty dollar bill. The incident remains under further investigation.

12:38 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Family Dollar, 73 South Green Street, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

2:23 p.m. A burgundy semi truck pulling a flat bed trailer was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

2:44 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on East Woodlawn Street for a report of stray cats coming into the yard.

4:54 p.m. Officers responded to the 18 mile marker south bound for a vehicle collision involving a single vehicle. No injuries were reported.

5:47 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of Harvey's for a hit and run vehicle collision. No injuries were reported.

6:36 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Azalea Avenue for a report of property damage.

7:25 p.m. Officers responded to Logan Lane Apartments, 544 South Logan Street, for a suspicious vehicle.

8:52 p.m. A white Chevrolet Tahoe was reported as driving recklessly at the 31 mile marker south bound on I-95.

10:36 p.m. Officers responded to Plantation Inn, 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a report of a stolen cell phone. The phone was later returned and the victim decline to prosecute the incident.

August 3

2:34 a.m. Officers responded to Turpin Park, 901 North Logan Street, for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

10:24 a.m. A Chevrolet Tahoe was stopped on Smith's Crossing for a vehicle license violation. The driver of the vehicle was unable to produce proof of valid insurance and did not have a valid driver's license. The driver of the vehicle, Daniel Villanueva, was cited for the violations and he was allowed to leave the scene with a friend. The vehicle was towed by a wrecker from rotation to their facility.

12:27 p.m. Officers conducted a welfare check at a residence on Colony Drive at the request of the homeowner.

12:34 p.m. A silver Ford sedan was reported as driving recklessly at the 22 mile marker south bound on I-95.

1:46 p.m. Officers responded to Bay Tree Apartments, 107 1st Avenue, for a report of a trespasser on the property. Officers located Clinton Green, who was previously placed on trespass notice, on the property. Green was arrested for trespass after notice and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

4:01 p.m. Officers responded to Palms Motel, 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard, to assist EMS with a call.

4:27 p.m. Officers responded to South State Bank, 10671 South State Bank, for an activated alarm.

4:38 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Brandon Cove for an activated alarm.

4:56 p.m. Officers responded to a residence on Shade Tree Street to assist EMS.

5:14 p.m. Officers responded to Star Point BP, 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard, for a vehicle collision involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

6:40 p.m. A blue semi truck was reported as driving recklessly at the 30 mile marker south bound on I-95.

6:56 p.m. Officers responded to Exit 21 for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.

9:47 p.m. Officers responded to Bank of Walterboro, 8058 East Main Street, for a motorist assist.

9:58 p.m. A blue Chevrolet truck was stopped on South Jacob Smart Boulevard for a traffic violation. Officers detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search. A quantity of marijuana was located within the vehicle and the driver, Jerod Bittner, was arrested. Bittner was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

11:36 p.m. Officers responded to North Jacob Smart Boulevard in front of the Jasper County Sheriff's Office for a motorist assist.

August 2

12:17 a.m. Ridgeland officers assisted the Jasper County Sheriff's Office with a domestic dispute on Bees Creek Road.

10:54 a.m. A blue Toyota Camry was reported as driving recklessly at the 28 mile marker south bound on I-95.

11:41 a.m. A red Toyota Prius was reported as driving recklessly at the 27 mile marker south bound on I-95.

12:06 p.m. A gray Hyundai sedan was reported as driving recklessly at the 8 mile marker north bound on I-95.

12:54 p.m. Officers responded to Glover Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

5:10 p.m. A gray semi pulling a silver trailer was reported as driving recklessly at the 16 mile marker north bound on I-95.

5:14 p.m. Officers responded to Oak Ridge Mobile Home Park for a report of an assault. The incident is under further investigation.

8:08 p.m. Officers responded to Kingdom Touch Ministries, 6714 Tillman Road, for an activated alarm.

10:04 p.m. Officers responded to East Main Street for a report of a suspicious person looking into parked vehicles.

10:56 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Russell Street for a vehicle collision involving one vehicle. No injuries were reported.
