Jasper County is fully dedicated to improving key elements of the transportation infrastructure that connects our communities and preserving vital greenbelt areas. Passed overwhelmingly by county voters in 2024, 80% of the tax revenues are to be spent on transportation improvements and 20% on greenbelt initiatives. The tax will be imposed for 15 years, ending on April 30, 2040 or until $470,000,000 is collected. Our mission is to implement cost-effective ensure safe, reliable, and sustainable transportation for all residents. Through careful planning, coordination and community engagement, we will strive to preserve the natural beauty of our county while improving transportation facilities for a better future.
